Is this machine washable?

No, this should be cleaned with a vacuum and/or carpet cleaner.

Is the putting mat surface fast or slow and does it depend on the floor being used?

It's fast but still very realistic.

Does this putting may have an automatic ball return when you make a putt?

This putting mat does not have an automatic ball return. It does come with a silicone cup that can be placed anywhere on the mat and will stop the ball if hit accurately.

I unrolled it for the first time and it is very lumpy and doesn’t lay flat. What is the best way to flatten in out?

You can try rolling it up the opposite way and then unrolling it back onto the floor. This should help it roll out flatter. Otherwise, a quick vacuum down the entire surface can help as well.
