Came with everything required to mount including Seperators for the internal part of the screw.

The picture and description were accurate. The parts are simple but adequate. They get the job done. I appreciated the insulator to keep the heatsink at a neutral (floating) voltage.

Nice heat sink set for TO-220 voltage regulators

These seem to work decently. One word of caution when using with the LM317, you’ll need to probably add a shim (see image, I used aluminum folded from a soda can) to get it to really press against the heat sink. They work fine for the 7805s. Here I’m dropping 9ish volts to 2 volts at about 0.3A so it’s dissipating roughly 2 watts. This heat sink kept the case temp at roughly 81C with about 22C ambient. The third image where I circled with the red is where I took the case temp.

I'm using these to cool down some PWM FETs on a hobby board. They have reduced the temperature from "burn your fingers" to "almost too hot to hold". With a little cross ventilation, they are simply warm. The tapped screw hole is a nice touch and eliminates fumbling with a nut on the backside. These are no big heatsinks and do not solve severe overheating problems. But they do what they are designed to. Unfortunately there are no specs for either tRca or thermal performance in Deg.C / Watt. Look elsewhere for the specs or use trial and error.

Perfect high quality heat sinks

These heat sinks seem to do their job. I have missed them on a couple of devices that I have built, whenever I have a voltage regulator chip, it definitely calls for these. If you are planning on using one in your project just make sure you put some electrical tape on the proto board under it to electrically isolate it from the other lines. It's conductive and can short out your circuit if you're not isolating it electrically. Particularly an issue when using proto boards.

they fit the TO-220 transistors properly but because of how my projects transistors were mounted I had to modify the attachment... Easy to do and they do their job
