UV rays or low temperatures can break it. Did you mean cannot break?

No they mean can break it. High uv days will make it brittle over time. And low temps will freeze it if it has any condensation or water in them and they can break. Just like how you have to empty out an in ground irrigation system before the winter.

Question 2

I have seen people complain that other tubing will not fit on Carpathen emitters; too small.  Will normal 1/4" fittings still work with this tubing?

Clara from Carpathen here. Thank you so much for reaching out to us. I am more than happy to help you. Depends on what 1/4" Irrigation Tube you have, on how flexible it is. The flexible tubes do work easily with the Drip Emitters if you put the tube in hot water for a few minutes or longer, but some tubes are inflexible and are indeed difficult to work with. You can use a Heat Gun to help you to connect the Drip Irrigation Emitters.

Is tubing free of chemicals that can enter plant water?

Clara here from Carpathen. Thank you for reaching out to us. I am more than happy to help you. Our tubes, 5/16" and 1/4" are made from PVC and don't contain BPA or heavy metals. So there are no chemicals that can get to the plants.
