It's a nice wide tape that you can cut to fit. It does take more time using tape vs. sheets, but it's much less expensive than sheets! This is the best price I've found on tape so far. Be sure to apply it to ALL new upholstered furniture upon arrival! This will stop further damage, but it can't undo damage that's been done. Experienced cat owners know that there will be damage done on the very first day! Place it higher than you think the cat will reach/go. You'll be glad you did. The tape is pretty easy to use. It's a little tricky to get the white backing paper off, but that seems to be the case with all tape. Press it firmly to the furniture then use your fingernail to scratch at a corner. After a couple of tries, you should be able to peel the backing off. Cats don't like the feel of anything sticky, which is why this works. You will have to reapply the tape in areas that get too full of hair to be effective. The old tape will come off without damaging the furniture. Depending upon your kitty, you'll probably have to keep the tape on upholstery for the life of your cat. Or just let them destroy the furniture. I prefer the tape. If you do it before your cat has the joy of scratching your furniture, you may be able to train them to only scratch their posts. It can be done!

Just bought a new bed and I wake up the first night to a LOUD horrid scratching sound!! I wake up in horror immediately. Bamboo!! I yelled, that's my cat... he doesn't care.... scratching continued. Ordered this product immediately and it works great. He knows something is up and won't come within a foot of this bedframe or this tape now. He is smart, if you have ever seen your cat get something stuck on him you know they don't like it, also it's kinda of hilarious. My bed is like a cloth woven type material and this tape sticks great. No complaints from this product at all. Also I love the Roll. Imagine trying to cut little 3 inch strips from sheets of sticky tape to go around the whole bottom of your bed. I'd rather not so the Roll works great. Would recommend to keep your Lil rascals in check.

So far, so good. My sweet little terror likes to claw on the door frames, since we moved in to our new place where it looks like another animal has already scratched. It's a little tricky to get the one side off after sticking it to the surface you want it on, but it stays stuck to the surface and has prevented scratching. Only did 4 stars because I'm not certain if it's going to peel the paint or not yet.

Great value compared to other brands! Works perfectly! Can install on carpet or upholstery or mattresses! Easy to remove when you don't need it anymore or needs refreshing!

Comes off after a few days. Cats didn't like it but once it started lifting - they were able to scratch under it. Didn't stop them completely - just slightly made it less.

Love this tape! We have two cats and it keeps them away for the furniture. It’s also very easy to use!

This tape is a pain in the butt to dispense. The backing is too hard to peel off. Sticky Paws is easy. Just buy Sticky Paws, it may be pricier but there's a reason for that.
