60 percent star rating for 60 percent usable product
Upon receipt 6 of the 10 worked okay. One was found blinking so weakly that at first I didn't see that it was already turned on.One was completely dead. Two worked at about half brightness.Well, there are batteries inside. Duh. Were some inadvertently turned on during packaging? They are shipped in a soft foam block which looks like it would prevent activation during shipping or carrying in a backpack, etc.In a darkened room a good unit shows up fine. Even though the LED is small it gets your attention. The unit DOES NOT STICK to a wet hard surface when I tested on glass, ceramic, and wood trim. The instructions that came with the units says to not attempt to change the battery. I did open up the two bad units and checked the battery voltages. The 3 volt Lithium batteries are labeled "SC628". Using a voltmeter the weakly blinking one read 2.87 volts and the other read 1.97 volts.I put the leads of a 3 volt power supply on the battery terminals and the LEDs lit up just fine indicating the battery capacity had been depleted.I didn't tinker with the two that seemed to be half bright since something is better than nothing in this case.Lithium batteries should hold a charge quite well. Have these BRITE STRIKE units been on the shelf a long time and foisted off on us non-military consumers?

Great light for a variety of applications, but beware how easily they turn on
Great product for a variety of applications. I use them on door wedges for the fire department so they make it easy to identify access points. I can even differentiate between three different doorways by having one on rapid flash, one on slow flash and one on solid. The downfall is how easily they can get turned on in your pocket. I wish it took a push and hold to turn them on initially. I've found them on in my pocket or completely dead about one time in ten, which sucks. The LED battery life is incredible if you don't leave them on.

Don't curse the darkness - Light a candle
An OK aux. lighting product for which the creative mind will find many uses. Having said that, I find that contrary to advertised, these little buggers adhere very well...the first time. They tend to stick very tightly, and when finally pulled off to place somewhere else, they don't stick very well at all. Aside from the false advertising, I really like this item and so do the friends I've given them to. would have gotten more stars if they admitted they don't stick well after initial use.

A little expensive but worthy of the price.
First of all, I find these strips to be very expensive. I have nothing to really compare them to, but $3.25 per strip is a bit expensive. Now that the price issue is out of the way, I am really impressed with these strips. The ability to attach the strip to almost any surface is pretty handy. The different light modes offer the flexibility to have a steady on mode, fast strobe, and slow strobe. These are good for different situations. I have had to use the strips already when I had an electrical failure on my car and had no way to use my flashers while pulled over on the side of the road. I used 3 of the strips and attached them to the rear bumper of my car and put two of them on fast strobe and the other on slow strobe. I am glad that I had them in my car.

This listing is for 10 lights, not 100
I ordered these lights because they are a great alternative to glowsticks. It clearly states several places in the listing that this is a 100 count package of the lights. I ordered one and was shipped 10 lights. I emailed the seller and they were quick to reply that it was an amazon error and that it was only supposed to be for 10 lights. I was upset, but they refunded all my money.

Three out of ten did not work.
The media could not be loaded. I was excited about receiving the Brite Strike APALS10-AMB All Purpose Adhesive Light Strips on Friday, Feb 3. Shipped in a flexible lightly padded mail envelope. The box looks like it has repeatedly been opened, or passed through multiple hands. Out of the ten lights, three did not work. Overall an excellent product to have. It will help when receiving the product that all of what you purchased works as described. Three stars indicate the product is okay, and that is not the case. A little pricey.... But cool to have
What else can I say. I was first exposed to these while in the middle east. Adhesive backed water resistant flash lights, and more. One push of the button and you get a fast flash, the second a slow flash and a third is just on, like a mini flash light. The last test run I did it ran on full for over 24 hours strait. Will buy again and goes great in a survival kit or hiking bag...

Test Upon Receipt
I tested these upon receipt and found that one of the ten flashed very weakly. I have not been able to determine the manufacture date but suspect that these have been sitting on a warehouse shelf for a long time. This is very concerning because I bought the RED APALS specifically for emergency use.*****Follow Up Review*****After almost four years of storage in a temperature controlled environment, my APALS have ALL failed to illuminate. By way of comparison AA Energizer alkaline batteries have a 10-year expiration date printed on the battery itself. APALS will give you a false sense of security if you are intending to use them for emergency purposes. My recommendation is to use a small single-AA flashlight instead, it is more useful and much more reliable.

Dead completely
Checked and inspected every single unit out of the ten that came in the box, no matter what I did none turned on at all, EVERY SINGLE ONE, I’d be completely embarrassed if I was selling dud equipment, it’s like someone used the whole lot, returned it then they resold them! I EXPECT a FULL refund
