This is an awesome mathematical tool that could teach your young kids in elementary school. Up to the 12 timestable. I bought this for my son at an early age. He was ahead of the grade after that. I ordered this educational toy for my daughter who just started forat grade and she absolutely loves it! It’s not only fun but also a great way to help her learn counting, addition and subtraction in a hands-on way. The size is perfect, not too big, easy to hold and fits nicely on her desk. The colors are bright and cheerful which makes learning even more exciting. I was really impressed with the stability and safety - it’s made of solid wood , stands firmly. It feels very well made and durable. Overall I’m happy with this purchase, it’s cute, educational and high-quality - everything we were looking for. First of all, this arrived so fast! And it's so good! I know it's going to be a great addition to my son's educational aid. Very easy to use, sturdy and it looks very colorful and eye catching. The weight is enough to know it's built well but not that heavy where he'll have an issue moving around with it.

So lucky to have found this abacus on sale! I already had a so-so abacus in my cart, when I suddenly noticed that this Melissa & Doug Abacus was 36% off. As a teacher, I know that Melissa & Doug products are top notch, and because of that sometimes a little expensive. I was not disappointed. This wooden abacus is so well made and sturdy. It's even pretty to look at. Our 3 year old was so excited when she saw it. We have been practicing counting the first couple of rows for now and I can see how it will be useful as she gets older and increases her counting and number manipulation abilities. I also love how this abacus helps her develop her fine motor skills as she slides each wooden bead effortlessly to the opposite side. When she is not counting she likes to pretend it is a harp. So many uses :o)
