Very well made
This was a nice little braille book that is a nice addition to any library. A great intro starter for learning intro braille.

Best book for beginner adult learners of braille
I'm a seeing adult learner of braille and even though this book is targeted at children, I still love it. The grade 1 uncontracted braille is perfect for beginners, the dots are painted so you can clearly see them for visual recognition in case you're having trouble reading them by touch, and the tactile animal pictures are honestly just really fun. The sentences are simple and relatively easy to read, and there aren't too many of them on a page. I get such a great sense of accomplishment whenever I finish a sentence and it makes sense. The dot height is more consistent compared to some other DK books like Shapes and Counting, and the bigger book size feels nice too.Downsides: as a seeing person, if you look at the book and even catch a glimpse of the text, you will get "spoiled" - reading braille is too easy when you already know what it says. I have to often cover up the text so I don't get spoiled. There are also some places where dot height isn't fully consistent, especially near the left binding where they get squished a little. Overall though, I love this book and as a beginner braille reader it is my absolute favorite to read so far.

This book is pretty great
This book is pretty great. I bought it for my visually impaired student. He has trouble reading braille so we are working on grade 1 braille (which is what this book is). The only problem I have is that some of the braille is weak; more specifically in the number pages (from what I've seen so far). I love that the images in the book are tactile and he will be able to also feel the pictures (even though he will be able to see them). Overall, I am very satisfied and if he does well with this book I will be purchasing other titles.

Love!
This book is wonderful for the little hands that are learning to explore and getting exposure to braille. Love the size.

good book as described
It is as described, could be made better if the pictures were also tactile to go with the braille

Amazing book
Not only does it have braille, but you can actually touch the pictures. DK put a lot of thought into this book and there is a beautiful combination of Braille and textured items to feel. The information they provide on the animals is well thought out too. My daughter is five and we go back to this book often. I don't even shelf it anymore, I just leave it on the coffee table so she can access it anytime she wants. In an age where Braille is not being pushed as much, it's good to see books that can develop not only a love of reading, but a love of reading with Braille.

Good quality
No complaints. I like how the pictures in the book are also embossed.
