One of my staples
Curcumin is one of my staples, and Longvida, a form optimized for brain health is my favorite. I've taken to including Longivda along with several other neutriciticals and vitamins as part of my daily health routine. I'm sufficiently convinced that it contributes to a boost in mood and mental acuity. There are some very good curcumin supplements out there, and I do occasionally swap things up. (Certain others seem more optimal for joints and inflammation, for example.) Obviously, I'm banking on the long-term payoff too. NOW is a sound brand that I've had good experiences with. I've chosen their product because it's the best value out there. I've read that 400 mgs. is the minimum effective dose. Here, you get 50 days in comparison with 30 for roughly the same price elsewhere. It's worth checking out the various forms of curcumin. Curcumin on its own isn't terribly bioavailable (i.e. it's not well absorbed). Definitely look for something with bioperine (which enhances absorption). I've had good results also with BCM-95, another trademarked extract.

Great product, great price
This is the best price I've found on LongVida, and since it's a patented formulation you know you are getting a consistent and trustworthy product. I've tried hundreds of supplements over the years and LongVida easily makes my top-5 favorites that I hope to take for the rest of my life because of its efficacy at fighting inflammation (it noticeably improves my chronic back pain and my wife's chronic skin rashes). It puts all other curcumin supplements to shame

Helps with Pre-Alzheimer's a little bit
My Mom is getting getting forgetful. The doctor said it's not severe enough to be Alzheimer's. I was researching Alzheimer's supplements, and this is one is made from a special formulation of the spice turmeric which is able to cross the blood brain barrier and clear out the plaques in the brain. It is in the GRAS (generally regarded as safe) category and is about as safe as most foods. After about a month, there have been no side effects, and I notice a slight improvement in her memory. She remembers to take her pills without my Dad reminding her, she doesn't have that blank stare in her eyes that she sometimes used to have, and seems to remember events a little better. She remembered she went to church service this morning instead of last night, but she didn't remember herself playing the guitar this morning. It didn't cure her memory, but it seems to help. Herbs and drugs effect everyone differently, so I would recommend you give it a try to see if it helps. From what I researched, the best solution for memory problems is to get adequate supply of blood to the brain which is accomplished by not being overweight, controlling blood pressure, ldl cholesterol levels, blood sugar, diabetes, daily walks for exercise, lots of green vegetables ect. It is too difficult to do with someone who shows no interest in major lifestyle changes, but being healthy is the best solution for those willing to put in the time and effort.
