What I wanted was a natural tube type saturation and old school light distortion, and I found no other pedal that provided that as well as the DG Vintage Microtubes. Love this tone
This device is certain and true. I was struck by the flexibility. The Microtubes with the SansAmp preAmp are devastating together…then go BigMuff right after that?!?!?!AmaZebAllz! Then throw on after that your OC-2 and well… The DarkGlass is going to get you some friggin good tone.

BEST BASS OVERDRIVE!
Hands down the BEST bass overdrive I've ever heard, other than playing through an original Ibanez TS808. But even this beats that. I know Darkglass Electronics has the deluxe version of this, but I really don't need it. Other companies that make bass pedals better look out. In my book Darkglass Electronics is on top. And to think they just revealed their amp (Microtubes 700) at NAMM 2016 today. Oof...They are dangerrrrrous. In a great way of course lol :D

I have an OCD pedal and it's great but this is the more subtle warm overdrive sound ...
I wanted a bass pedal that would warm up my sound and give it an overdriven vintage sound and this is exactly what I was looking for. If I want heavy distortion, I have an OCD pedal and it's great but this is the more subtle warm overdrive sound I wanted. I've got it on most of the time. I love it.

Very versatile and no noise at lower drive levels. Higher drive has some noise but that's expected with the amount of overdrive this thing provides at that level. Very tube-esque tone and drive.

Very nice...
I love the flexibility of this pedal. Goes from very subtle gain, as if tubes were being pushed on, to balls out metal crunch. Very expressive!
