Absolutely! I use this with my R6 in a small rig cage but this cable works phenomenally

Do you make a straight hdmi to micro hdmi cord?

Kondor does make a 4k Micro HDMI to Full Size HDME cord that is coiled and is made just for going from the camera to a video device mounted on the bracket or camera hot shoe. I use the full-size HDMI cables to go to my Ninja V+. They work extremely well and stay out of the way.

One review says it doesn't record to the atomos ninja v and another says it does. does this cable work for external recording or does it not?

When you display the HDMI info, showing the camera’s settings, on the monitor, it has an intermittent connection. Atomos ninja will say “no input” for a second and then glitch back and forth occasionally. Kind of annoying. But when displaying a “clean” image that you can record externally, it works fine. Even in 60fps.

Will the coiled micro cable fit into the very small port of smallhd focus?
