UPDATE!!!... Since I have learned to use this 'rice' better, I have grown into a big fan. I was originally using it as a plain white rice, and as that, it is not great. It is wonderful when you top it with gravies, sauces or add flavorings. I learned that it really is a very satisfying food and a staple to my low carb lifestyle. A suggestion....I rinse the 'rice' well, then toss it in a pan and dry it out. I add a bit of butter, some onion, garlic, spices, flavorings and cook it through! Simple and it is very satisfying. So...I have upgraded my 1 star review to a 5 star review because it truly is a satisfying staple. I apologize for the one star because it was really not based on the product by my inexperience in knowing how to use it! Thank you Palmini for a good, versatile and enjoyable product. I really wanted to love this 'rice' as I am a huge fan of the Palmini 'pasta' but it just didn't cut it. In fact it was almost like eating grated cauliflower than 'rice' I'll definitely be sticking with the konjac rice as it resembles 'rice' more. The consistency and chew is like grated cauliflower. I wish I could return the two I have left but unfortunately there is no refund allowed on this...you can be sure that I won't be buying this again. What a disappointment.

These are great. They come in a really well made package that stands upright in the cabinet for optimal organization. There is a bit of a sourness or a pickled flavor to the rice but i really like it and using it as a substitute for rice works very well for several dishes.I even took a packet to a local Vietnamese restaurant and had them sub out rice for this to see how it worked and I loved it.

This product is wonderful it tastes good and the texture is almost perfect. It is so easy to prepare however the cost makes it impossible to use on a regular basis so I only gave it 4 stars.

It tastes ok, but the texture, smell, appearance, and taste is nothing like rice. In terms of texture, it's closer to little jello bites. Its hard to describe its taste, its pretty bland by itself, but it does not taste like rice. Overall, it's not bad, but if you're looking for a closer substitute for rice, this isnt it.

Tastes horrible! I usually eat cauliflower rice and tried the Palmini as another rice alternative option. Taste and smell were bad.

This is the bomb!!!!! We LOVE our Palmini rice and use it weekly sometime several times per week. Great value for a specialty food item. Easy to use, just rinse and add to sauce and boom, perfect! Does have a slight smell at first but after adding sauce it is covered up. A little more dense than a normal noodle/rice but nothing that would make you say ew. The sauce blends into the rice unlike miracle noodles/rices which lets your food taste like what it's supposed to taste like. It is a nice choice or low carb and its gluten free which is nice, no stomach pains. Use this like you would for anything needing rice. Many uses. I've used it for tacos, burritos, butter chicken and so much more. Will continue to use these products.

I once gave this rice a negative review as I didn't follow directions of how to prepare it. Then I began with fried oinions and seasonings of choice and truly got excellent results. It was very tasty. I have been buying and using it since then.

Perfect replacement for rice for people who want a rice like component in their prepared low calorie lunch or dinner. Has been using if for almost 2 months and it brings a more rice kind of feeling to the diet. Highly recommended.
