Gorgeous designs!
I won't lie, this coloring book was fully intended for my own personal use... and let's just say I am not your average coloring fan age. The designs in this book are stunning and I am really looking forward to coloring them! I have ordered books in the past that have only a few designs that repeat several times in the book, so I was very happy to see this book features 30 unique designs. My 10 year old cousin flipped through the book and he is also impressed with the patterns, so I would easily say this book is fun for any age coloring fan. I think the designs leave room enough for pretty much any type of coloring tool, which is also a great feature- sometimes the designs of books like this get too intricate and you are limited to using colored pencils instead of markers or crayons.

Great For ADD!!
I am an adult who has ADD and I have 2 children who have ADD as well. None of us can just do one thing at a time, so these pages are fantastic for us to make copies of and color while watching TV or just hanging out. We love all of the different designs and since we make copies, we can do our favorite pages over and over again. My children's therapist also uses copies of these pages in her practice.

This book is a nice change from Mandalas
This book is a nice change from Mandalas. Some are very detailed and complex. Others are with larger pattern pieces and not so difficult. I do the difficult ones when I am on my own with no distractions so the others easy designs are perfect when I am at my Coloring groups and it doesn't matter if I make a mistake. If I am using pencil, as I usually do at these groups, I just erase it.I did not like this book when I first got it because the designs are on every page. You have marks on the other side with markers, gel pens and even with pencil when you press hard. However it has proved useful for group work as I do not want to ruin my Bashford, or my new Debbie MacComber books.

the best one i have bought in years
I was so excited when i first received this book. Up until now my favorites have been "Paisley Designs", "Decorative Tile designs" and "mandalas". This ranks with them and please Dover produce more and more of this type of design coloring book because they are the best. I appreciate the company being ''green' and as another contributor says copy or scan the originals onto better paper if you are not satisfied. I always do that when the designs are worth coloring in more than once as it is interesting to explore different color combinations and negative as opposed to positive aspects. Thank you Nick Crossling!!!!!!

Beautiful and Absorbing Artwork
Awesome, inspiring and intricate designs to color. I have spent many hours coloring in this book with my Staedtler Triplus Markers, and regular felt tip markers, also from amazon and also awesome. I love this book...only wish they were either on slightly heavier paper or printed on only one side. I have a little bit of bleed thru, not enough to matter if you're not hanging it on your wall though.

The coloring patterns themselves are great: beautifully detailed and expressive of Arabic design
The coloring patterns themselves are great: beautifully detailed and expressive of Arabic design. The pages, however, are thin and flimsy, and really only lend themselves to colored pencils, rather than artist's markers which bleed through. Overall, it was worth the price (under $5), but I wouldn't buy it again because of the page quality.

Gorgeous patterns
This one brought silence to the room and children leaned over their chosen designs to color and were fascinating by the intricacy of the patterns. Color pencils worked best due to fine tips and ease of color blending. Crayons were too wide, as were most markers, and they were too bold. Water colors would also be great if fine motor control is at the higher developmental stage.

Good Designs - Publishing Quality Disappointing.
Arabic Floral Patterns is my first book by Nick Crossing. I'm impressed with the designs but, I find myself dissapointed with the publisher this time.It was one of several books that I purchased to explore new design elements in coloring. Having really enjoyed various styles of mandala books. The 30 designs vary from larger to more interact and very fine line details. Making this a good choice if you are not familiar with Arabic design like myself.Unfortunately I feel that 2 stars are all my experience allows for. As I needed to pick which designs to color and which designs to *give up on* since the pages are double - sided. Both fine -line gel pens and fineliner markers bleed through on paper this thin. Even before you add color you are able to see the mixture of designs through the page if you hold it up to a light source.Having purchased many other Dover coloring books before I knew that this book would contain double- sided pages. Two things that I couldn't have foreseen however was1 Even by previous experience this paper quality seems thinner to other Dover coloring books.2 Just how fine detailed this books lines would be. Even with looking at some other reviewers attached images. In the past if a book's designs draws me in I purchase a second copy, in order to color each design in the media I like most. There isn't enough space for me to do this with every book Dover publishes . I hope that they decide to improve their paper quality and printing methods as this was a real disappointment.
