DEWALT has another winner
Glad I bought this instead of cheapie off-brand. Powerful blows leaves/snow off deck, sidewalk, garage floor easily. Also use to blow dirty water out of bird bath and debris out back of SUV. Included battery life very good. Light weight easy to handle/operate. I don't use larger EGO blower anymore.

My favorite tool: Very handy!
As a small, older woman, weight and maneuverability are important to me. I love this compact leaf blower! It works well for keeping my deck and outdoor steps clear of leaves, and it t is effective at moving leaves that haven’t accumulated thickly. I like it so much I ordered another as a gift.

Worth a second look.
I use the job site blower almost daily and am impressed with the balance, light weight, and ease of use. This blower is best for small to medium tasks like decks, sidewalks, and garages. Other outdoor uses are probably only limited by the user’s imagination. I use mine on the tractor, mowers, log splitter and dump trailer. Though not intended for such purposes I have also used it effectively to coax a damp burn pile to life. The benefit of owning Dewalt battery-powered products is the ability to swap battery packs from other Dewalt 20v tools when the need arises. The supplied 4.0 ah battery lasts a good while and is helped by the variable-speed trigger and three-stage (low-medium-high) power switch on the handle. I have also used 5.0 ah Dewalt batteries for increased runtime but seldom find the need to do so; the supplied battery works well. One user criticized the placement of the tool’s (left side) air intake because loose clothing would impede airflow, but I have not found that problematic; I simply changed to my left hand to carry on with the task on those rare occasions. This tool does not have the power of my backpack gas-powered blower but then again, it was never intended to compete with one. If you are seeking an efficient battery-powered blower that is well-balanced and comfortable to operate then look no more; this will likely meet your needs.

Charge battery packs for at least 12hr before using
EZ to use, just make sure you read the owner’s manual before using ie: battery charging and storage of battery packs. This is what I learned from a DeWalt engineer years ago when I worked for SB&D. The manufacturer will do a initial charge on the pack but packs are not always fully charged for quality control inspections as well as the batteries need to be stored at least partially charged so the cells aren’t damaged before it’s sold at retail. There are several individual battery cells inside the battery pack that will need to be fully charged before the initial use. By not charging the battery pack fully at least 12 hours ,and ideally 48 hours before you initially use the battery pack (The red flashing light on the charger will stop flashing well before 12 hours indicating the pack is charged disregard and leave the pack on the charger so it can level off each individual cell) You will run the risk of damaging the individual cells inside the pack. Which will ultimately decrease the life and run time of the battery. This statement is not only for DeWalt batteries this is best practice for all re-chargeable battery packs unless the mfg. states otherwise. The Li packs have heat indicator cutoff to protect the pack from overheating during fast drain applications ( Running a tool consecutively in which the battery is drained in less than 10 minutes) feature may confuse end-users to think the battery needs to be re-charged when in fact the pack just needs to cool off. Do not try to charge the battery immediately following fast drain applications, this may result in damaging the cells. Li batteries also shouldn’t be stored or charged when or where temperatures are lower than 40’ f or greater than 90’ f. I have several batteries and I’ll swap them out once I feel I’m getting close to using the full charge. This allows me to recharge my used packs faster, and ultimately allows me to work non-stop throughout the day. I do this consistently and I still have DeWalt batteries from 2010 that work great.

Works good for inflating water toys.
Bought this for our 5th wheel to both inflate water inflatable toys and keep the camper porch clean. It works well for inflating and does an ok job as a blower. It is compact and light weight. If you just want a leaf blower I would get a bigger one.

DeWalt Quality a plus
Blowing capacity is great especially with dual speed controls. Noise levels are lower than I expected.Quality is great, just like all my other DeWalt tools

Remember that it is three speed.
I was about to send this back, until I remembered it is three speed. It works a lot better on 3! This is not as powerful as my gas blower. So it's a bit slower, but mostly does the job. With the included 4amp battery, I blew a heavy layer of leaves and pine needles into an easy to pickup row on the driveway. Then got the deck and the front walk. After that, it got a bit weak, so I switched to an 8amp battery from my DeWalt saw, and got the rest of the walk, and the many trails around my 2/3 acre lot. Compared to the gas blower, it was slower, got bogged down a little were the leaves were super heavy, was super light weight, and far easier on my damaged shoulder. Both because of the light weight and not having to pull the cord. Overall a win--I'll use it more often that the gas blower.

Nozzle a bit short. Not as powerfulAs my gas operated one.
Does a good job but I’m 6’ tall and the nozzle is a bit short. Would like to see one more section to extend it’s reach. Not as powerful as my gas powered one but is a lot more convenient and gets the job done. Has decent air output for a battery operated one.

I bought this and the equivalent Milwaukee mini blower to compare. Although they both offer 100CFM, the Milwaukee supposedly has 30MPH more force. In practice, I don't know what the Milwaukee does with its extra power, but the DeWalt moves more snow or debris and does it faster than the Milwaukee. It's also quieter. As to absolute performance, this isn't going to handle leaves on a whole yard, but it's very convenient for a quick dusting of the driveway, to reach behind the A/C unit; to blow stuff out from under furniture or behind counters where a vacuum cleaner doesn't have enough power to suck out dust. Battery life is terrible (4-7 minutes) with small batteries and the bigger batteries almost defeat the purpose of a small blower. But that's to be expected.

A small and powerful blower with a lot less noise than a regular machine. Interchange batteries are a great addition

Works decent enough, it doesn't blow heavey wet snow but a light dusting it does the trick.
