I gave it 4 stars as it seems to be a very good cordless soldering iron. I like the 2000mA LiPo battery and ergonomics of the iron.I took off one star as it was completely non-functional when received. It would charge but would not operate. I took it apart and discovered that the contacts which should be normally closed when in use and open when inserted in to the charger were not making contact. I bent the contacts with needle nose pliers so that they would make contact and the iron worked correctly and still charged correctly.Jan 2107 update: My repair did not last - it broke again after just a few uses. I probably won't try to repair it again as it is not worth the effort. I will stick with my trusty IsoTip iron.

Fast service good soldering iron and keeps a charge for a while.

A quality product this is not. The plastic is very cheap and flimsy and equality is even worse. When it was working it would constantly cool off even while in use. That lasted for exactly 3 days before it just stop heating altogether. This is one that looks better in the picture than it does in person and the quality of the product being less than substandard. I would not recommend this soldering iron to anyone not at the current price or at any price to be honest. If you want a soldering iron that made very cheap and will stop working very soon this is the one to buy.if you want a quality product I recommend looking elsewhere.
