WWE: SummerSlam 2013

The DVD was in great shape or the Blu-ray I should say was in great shape it played perfectly and I enjoyed every match especially the one with Bray Wyatt and Kane rest in peace boy you'll be missed

I wasn honored the privllage to attend this years summerslam not only as my first wwe event but as my first PPV event as well. It was an awesome card with jam packed action. The crowd in LA was on fire for one of the most epic nights in WWE as of recent time. Brock lesnar vs CM Punk was a great match with tons of action and exciment. The rest if the card was solid awesome as well. But the match of the night was Daniel Bryan vs John cena as Daniel Bryan took John cena to the limit to capture his first WWE Championship, but that was short lived as the viper strikes with the help of his former buddy triple H to leave the entire staple center in awe.

This WWE PPV DVD is the same as Region 1 except that it's runs at PAL 50Hz.CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar was awesome, but watch the main event involving John Cena vs Daniel Bryan for WWE Title because the spoiler DVD cover said so. Well this PAL DVD has commentaries in English, German, and French. That's good for Quebec, Canada considering that French is their language of programming.However, this is also a multi region PAL DVD with region codes 2 and 5. That's for Europe, Japan, Russia, and most of Africa.

This DVD contains the full Summerslam 2013 event on a single disc. It was headlined by Daniel Bryan challenging for John Cena's WWE Championship along with CM Punk fighting Brock Lesnar. As a bonus feature we get 'highlights' of Dean Ambrose vs. Rob Van Dam from the pre-show. They're not really highlights though, more just the final five minutes of the match. It looked like a good match though so I enjoyed it as a bonus.Bray Wyatt vs. Kane - This was a 'Ring of Fire' match which involved the ring being surrounded by flames. It was also Bray's main roster debut match. It was automatically a disappointment to fans as it all but promised someone getting set on fire like an Inferno match but that wasn't what it was trying to deliver. Instead it ended up being the most dull match on the card as they had to be so cautious around the fire. Despite the fire Rowan and Harper found a way to interfere. It didn't help Bray's debut that he needed their help to take on Kane. It was just not a good way to kick off the show.Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow - These two were tag team partners until they broke up after Money in the Bank. It was a very good match. It was kept pretty short which was a shame but they fought with intensity and a fast pace to make up for that, filling the match with as much action as possible. There were lots of good reversals and counters and some good near-falls on their way to a strong and decisive finish. A really good match while it lasted.Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian - This was for Del Rio's World Heavyweight Championship. It was a really good back and forth match. Del Rio managed to control the majority of the action with Christian just trying to survive. There were some good reversals and the match moved along at a fast pace. There were some strong near-falls as the match built and some good drama around Del Rio's cross-armbreaker. Christian hurt his arm early on which affected him throughout the match, it stopped him from capitalising after hitting his spear and also gave Del Rio a target. It had a good, clean finish and was one of Del Rio's better matches of his career.Brie Bella vs. Natalya - This was a match that came from the Total Divas show they were all a part of. It was fine. There was nothing special about it but nothing particularly bad either. It was just a quick match between two big matches. They worked hard and the action was decent overall and led to a good, clean finish. It became a pretty enjoyable match by the end.CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar - A result of Paul Heyman turning on CM Punk, this was a No-Disqualification match. It was an absolutely incredible fight. The best match of the show and in contention for the best Summerslam match of all time. The action was great. Brock Lesnar was dominant as always but Punk still brought the fight to Lesnar and kept the match competitive. There were some great counters and some strong drama built around Brock's kimura lock. The no disqualification stipulation didn't play much of a part for the majority of the match. That was a good thing though because they didn't need it to, they were just having a fantastic fight without the need for weapons. That meant when they eventually did introduce weapons it was only adding to an already amazing match. Heyman got involved in the match which felt unnecessary but also made sense as he was feuding with Punk at the time. It had some good near-falls and built to a strong and decisive finish. It was such a great match and a highlight of both men's careers.Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn vs. AJ Lee and Big E Langston - This was a Mixed tag Team match. It was a decent little match. There wasn't anything special about it but it was a nice break between the two huge main events. The action was good from start to finish and it was constantly entertaining. I'm not going to remember it long after I've finished the show but it did it's job well and provided an entertaining seven minutes with a good, clean finish.John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan - This was the main event of the night and it was for the WWE Championship. Triple H was the special guest referee. It was an incredible match that on any other show would be the match of the night. CM Punk and Brock Lesnar stole the show earlier in the night but this was another match that would be in contention for greatest match in Summerslam history. Bryan was a clear underdog going in to this one but he took the fight to Cena and had a very competitive match. There were some great reversals and really convincing near-falls as the match went on. The action was exciting from the very start with the match instantly feeling like a big deal. Bryan debuted his running knee finisher during this match which felt like a big deal too, hitting someone like Cena with an unestablished finisher. It had a really good, clean and decisive finish and the aftermath, while disappointing for Bryan fans, was done really well. Triple H stayed out of the action completely, so much so that I forgot he was even there, that was definitely for the best. An almost perfect match.This was one of the greatest Summerslams of all time. It started off poorly with the disappointing Ring of Fire match but after that it was all good. CM Punk's fight with Lesnar and the WWE Championship main event were both incredible matches and two of the best in Summerslam history. They were so good and well worth getting this DVD for. The fact there are other good matches on the card is just a bonus but after that first match everything on the card delivered. It was a great night of wrestling and I definitely recommend it.

Langsames Verlauf mit vielen Haltegriffen und fast keinen Highflyern. Da es um keinen Titel ging auch relativ uninteressant. 4 von 10 PunktenHighlights: Whisper in the Wind, Drive-by"Der Sieger bekommt alles"-MatchKofi Kingston & Micki James vs. Santino Marella & Beth PhoenixEs geht um den Intercontinentel-Championchip von Kofi Kingston und den Womens-Championship von Micki James.Weil Diven mit im Spiel sind, war ich erst etwas skeptisch. Doch nachdem ich mir das Match angesehen hab, eines besseren belehrt. Da auch mal Diva gegen Superstar kämpfen, recht abwechslungsreich schnell. Nur das Ende war dumm. 7 von 10 PunktenHighlights: Body Press Slam, Frontslam, Tornado-DDTWeiter geht es mit Shawn Michaels Ankündigung. Er hat ja gesagt, er wolle beim Summerslam ankündigen, ob er weiter mache, oder nicht. Doch natürlich bleibt sowas nicht ohne Zwischenfälle...ECW-Champion TitelmatchMatt Hardy vs. Mark HenryEigentlich hat man ein spannendes Match erwartet, wo Kraft auf Technik trifft. Doch was kommt raus: Ein Match, dss schon nach wenigen Sekunden durch Disqualifikation entschieden ist.Ich bewerte es mal nicht, weil vielleicht noch ein gutes Match rausgekom-men wär.Highlights:/Welt-Schwergewichts-Champion-TitelmatchCM Punk vs. JBLJetz muss Punk beweisen, ob er ein warer Titelträger ist. Und das halt es auch. Doch dem Sensenmann geht es nur um eins: Rache.Das Match ist, wie zu erwarten, recht brutal, doch trotzdem super. Es ist ein hin und her zwischen TLC- und Hardcore-Match.
