Arko Shaving Soap Stick - 12 Sticks (31.5 oz) by EVYAP

Bought these for my husband. He loved these and so did I! They smell so clean and so good. It’s a very thick consistency and very lathering and soothing. The price is an amazing deal, we’ve bought soaps that were far more expensive and not as good as this one. My husband was able to mold these into his shaving mug which made it easier to use.

I've been shaving with a DE razor now for about 8 years and have had a chance to try all kinds of shaving soaps and creams. IMHO, Arko is the hands-down winner! We have hard water in our city and this shaving soap produces of a ton of rich creamy lather with little effort! I use a Parker silver tip badger brush along with a Merkur 34C razor. I usually use Feather razor blades, but lately have found Personna blades give me an equally nice shave. I know many complain about the smell of this soap, but I love it! It just has a nice"clean" smell and reminds me of Ivory soap. I slice my soap stick into 1/4-inch pieces then layer them in the bottom of my shaving mug. I can easily fit 2 sticks in my mug. Arko shaving soap provides a great cushion for my razor and rinses easily off my skin. Thanks to Arko, my face always feels nice and soft with a BBS result!

Very nice replacement for Williams shaving soap, which supported for the last 41 years. Pleasant odor, nice lather, smooth shave, and pennies on the dollar compared to everything else except dry-shaving... By my calculations, 1 stick can be cut into 3 pieces, each piece should last me ~1 year, meaning I will never buy shaving soap again in my lifetime. So, both a smooth shave AND a healthy dose of life/mortality salience, depending on whether you're glass half-full or a glass half-empty kind of feller... or gal, I don't judge.

I've been "wet shaving" for over a decade, and for the majority of that time I used Williams Shave Soap. It was available in my local stores, was affordable, and I was happy with how it worked. When Williams discontinued it, I purchased a box of 12 Arko Shave Soap sticks. It took me a few uses to get used to a shave stick vs. a puck, but I purchased some plastic holders that work really well and make using the stick sort of like using a deodorant stick. People have mentioned the scent but I find it's light and non-intrusive. Arko lathers quickly and makes for a great shave! The sticks last a long time and in a year and a half I have gone through 2 sticks! When you factor how expensive some of shave soaps are vs. this box of 12 Arko shave sticks, you have to ask yourself why isn't this already in your cart?

This a good soap for a solid shave lather and slick shave. The only negative I see is that it contains EDTA and Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide). Both are toxic compounds to humans. I'll keep using it for now, but I really wish they would go back to their original formula that did not contain these chemicals. Man! The babyboomers really sold out their kids health and freedom for some cheap stuff and a way to get rich while getting rid of toxic chemicals through the human coffee filter.

This is some of the most confusingly packaged shaving soap I have seen, almost looking like candy packaging. It is yellower than the older Arko in the dishes, and it is also softer, in other words a lot more like soap. It makes a nice lather and most importantly, rinses easily out of a multi blade razor. The best tip I can give you is to keep your old Arko dish, slice a stick of this soap into little disks, and fill the dish with them. As you brush them with water, they will fuse into a puck that is a lot easier to manage. This box is a lot more cost effective than the previous version, though! Looks like shaving lather for a year or more.

Lathers very quickly. Smells like traditional soap, and a bit like lemon. Very good for shaving face and legs. Works better than creams and foams in my opinion. Very good price for how much you get. I cut it into wafers and lay them in my shaving bowl. It does leave a noticable scum on the sink when you drain it. I use liquid hand soap to rub it off the sink and rinse immediately after shaving.

For a while, I was buying soaps from great vendors (I’m not gonna name them). I spent too much Money on them, and they took forever to go through. Since finding Arko, my buying habits completely changed. This cheap soap creates the perfect lather. It outperforms much more expensive tub soaps. I just pass the soap across my face and bush right on my face for a perfect shave each time. I love the smell. It’s a bright, crisp lemon scent. If you don’t like it, it goes away quickly. Besides, that’s what aftershave is for. It’s so easy to use. I love that I just toss one in my travel bag and I could take one anywhere. Don’t sleep on Arko. It’s worth it.

Lange Zeit hat mich die Meinung in verschiedenen Rasur Foren vom Kauf dieser Rasierseife abgehalten, da sie angeblich nach Klostein riechen soll. Letztlich überwog dann aber doch meine Neugier und ich bestellte für den Preis gleich einen ganzen Karton. Nach nur einer Rasur mit Ihr, habe ich seitdem keine andere Rasierseife mehr benutzt (ich habe verschiedenste Rasierseifen wie zb alle Proraso, Tabac, Saponificio Varesino ,,Aromatic Fern‘‘, Cella im Tiegel, Figaro Mandel, Verschiedene Haslinger, Golddachs). Weil die Arko für mich einfach von allen genannten die perfekteste Rasierseife ist. Was an Ihr besonders hervorsticht ist die extrem gute Einweichwirkung in Kombination mit einer sehr guten Hautverträglichkeit, Gleitfähigkeit und Schutz der Haut vor der Klinge. Das Ergebnis sind die perfektesten Rasuren die ich jemals hatte, alles wird Baby Popo glatt, keine Reizungen oder Schnitte, im Gegenteil sieht die Haut sehr erholt aus und ist für den Rest des Tages samtweich. Ich habe sie auch meinem Schwiegervater empfohlen und er ist genauso begeistert wie ich 😊 Das mit dem Geruch nach Klostein kann ich absolut nicht nachvollziehen, sie riecht sehr frisch nach Kernseife und Waschmittel, mit einem Hauch Zitrus. Für mich ist er sehr angenehm und erinnert mich immer an frisch gewaschene Kleidung an der Leine, ich liebe diesen Duft 🥰 Fazit: es gibt nichts was ich an dieser Seife nicht liebe, alle ihre Eigenschaften sind hervorragend und dazu ist sie die günstigste Seife die ich besitze und die ergiebigste (3 Sticks reichen bei einer Nassrasur alle 2 Tage für mindestens ein halbes Jahr). Ich kann sie nur wärmstens empfehlen 👌🏽

Sapone da barba storico e diretto, che colpisce subito per la sua profumazione, a mio parere molto piacevole: pulita, intensa e dal carattere classico, con una nota “saponosa” decisa che richiama la rasatura tradizionale di una volta. Un odore semplice ma identitario, che durante l’uso risulta rassicurante e mai fastidioso. Le doti meccaniche sono elevate, con una schiuma ricca, protettiva e scorrevole, alla pari se non superiori a quelle di saponi più blasonati e costosi. Un prodotto essenziale, economico e sorprendentemente efficace.

One of the best , if not the best, cheap shaving soaps around. Gives an easy thick , slick shave lather . The scent isn't for everyone , but I find it very nostalgic as it reminds me of soaps from the 60s.
