Can this light fixture be used in a bathroom?

No, it doesn’t seem fitting for a bathroom. Dining room at best.

How many crystals are there to this chandelier?

Many. Don’t have specific number. A little tedious and time consuming to hang. But so worth it. It is gorgeous

Do the crystals get attached after the fixture is hung from the ceiling, or before?

It is best to attach the crystals after you hang the light fixture. I found that attaching them opposite of each other keeps the fixture straight. Hope that helps.
