I have an 8 year old boy who is thin and about 54" in height. Would a medium size work?? It says it's a child's costume, so I want to be sure.

Yes, it should fit perfectly. My son was 8 last year and he matches your son’s descriptions, was able to wear it for church to celebrate “All Saints Day” and it worked perfectly.

What size would fit a 6 year old about 50” tall?

I bought a medium and it fit my six year old who is about that height fine but it was a little long so I hemmed it. Small would have been too tight though.

What size will fit a 5 year old?

Size small would be good for the average five-year-old.

X large for wich age?

I bought the medium size for my 7 yeAr old son. It was a little bit too long but I was able to alternated to fit.
