Be careful sharpening staff, this is pocket sharpener but easily cut you finger while work your knife through it, little clumsy but sharpens very good.

This is a good sharpener. If you're used to the original Smith's black plastic one, this is different, in that it has ceramic rods instead of plates. The stainless steel frame gives it real strength/durability/heft. The G10 along with the tungsten glass breaker tip makes it a must carry EDC item. Where the diamond hone rod hinges/attaches is still plastic like the original but is very sturdy. The pocket clip is very tight & I wish they would have placed it on the other end.
