When I had an opportunity to try 100% PURE CASTOR OIL by ELAIA. I thought isn't this the stuff they use to give little kids before bed for discipline ? Or to make sure they pooped? I really didn't know much more than that. So I thought what the heck I'll be better for trying it, so I ordered it.When I received it in the mail my daughter had a puzzled look on her face and said " humm, ok .. What is this for ? And who is this for? " I told herWe are all getting healthy so we are all trying it so we poop more 😂 ( she does not think I'm funny ) There are claims that it diminishes fine lines, grows strong nails, eyelashes and thickens brows.and it is helpful for dry skin. I started my testing. I have used it three times in a pre shampoo hot oil treatment. The bottle has a pump so there is no mess no overage, I pump 2-3 good pumps into a bowl and heat up for 8 seconds. I then massage it into my hair starting at the ends first as it seems dryer. I try and only use a small amount closer to my scalp now because first time my hair seemed greasy. I wash my hair twice after and then condition it sparingly ( you don't need much conditioner) When I received it in the mail my daughter had a puzzled look on her face and said " humm, I started to do some research and it looks like Castor Oil has been used for centuries as a trusted beauty secret .. WHAT? Why had I never heard about this before? I decide I wanted in on this beauty secret for sure.

I've only ever heard of it as a good laxative for constipation. I never knew of all the benefits there were for you hair, skin, and nails! For my hair... after ONE use my hair is already softer and I'm seeing new growth, like already an inch long of new growth all over my head. I've been taking Biotin and using Biotin shampoo for the past year to try and thicken my hair but I never saw much difference. With this I swear it was with in a couple days when I started seeing the new hairs start poking up and less hair is coming out in the shower. What I did was mixed it with my normal hair mask of just coconut oil, which only helped with making it soft and shiny. Adding the castor oil made it even softer and it also has more volume and and even more shine than with just the coco oil. I left the oil mix on my hair for about an hour and then washed it out. It did take a few washes to get all the oil out but it was definitely worth it. I washed my hair about 3x and then used conditioner as usual and that worked well for me. You may need a couple extra washes if you have oily hair but it's also really good for oily hair as well. I plan on doing this once a week. You can also add some to your eye lashes and eye brows and leave on over night to help grow them out and make them thicker and healthier. I haven't tried that yet though.For my skin, I also added it to my coconut oil, yes I'm a coco oil nut lol I put that s*** on everything!, I just rub it all over every day.For feet, I put extra on them because they are quite dry and skin is flaking off. I do it at night and in the morning when I'll be wearing socks for the day. Put the oil on your feet and socks on right after. The oil absorbs nicely. So far, after 1.5weeks, and using it every night, I've already noticed my feet are less dry and the skin is beginning to heal and become softer.For my face, I've used it only twice so far (once a week). I read that you shouldn't use it on your face too too often because it can clog your pores. I massage it into my face for about 1-2mins, before washing my face, and then continue with my daily face cleansing and moisturizing routine. My face feels very soft after using it. I haven't noticed much difference yet in any other ways, besides the softness. Over all I am very pleased with this product. I really am glad I found this product. Castor oil has been around probably longer than I have been around. I remember my grandmother giving me a 1/2 teaspoon of this as a child. I mix it in with coconut oil and I use it on my natural 4C hair. My hair tends to loose moisture and gets dry. If it is dry then it starts to break. With the addition of this product my hair is maintaining its moisture so much better! I only need a few drops. I also use this product on my skin after my shower and especially after shaving. It moisturizes so much better. You can use it combined with coconut oil or alone. A little goes a long way. I highly recommend this product. My hair looks better. My skin feels so much softer and smoother. The addition of this product has moisturized and rejuvenated my hair and skin. It is very lightweight and not greasy. I purchased this product because I am always looking to try products with natural ingredients. I loved the fact that it is 100% organic and USDA Certified. I have a friend who is a cancer patient who is plagued with rashes from Chemo. When the rash dries up it leaves the skin extremely dry and scaly. I thought it would helpful on his skin. Although the consistence of the ELAIA Castor Oil is somewhat thick, it is not greasy. It absorbed well in his skin and left a soft and smoothed finish. He and I was both were impressed with the results. Because it is thick a little goes a long way. As a result, this it is a good value for the price. I used the product on my hair and it left it with a nice sheen without that greasy feel. I would most likely purchase again.Although I was provided this product at a reduced price for my unbiased opinion, it was an easy review as I truly liked it and feel it was helpful to my friend.
