Sea Buckthorn Nourishing Face Cream (1oz)

I use this as a daily face lotion. It is a light moisturizer and non-greasy and kept my face moisturized throughout a very cold and windy northeastern winter. It is wonderful and does NOT make me break-out, in fact my combination skin is much more clear. I have been using this for about 1.5 years. I am very strict about ingredients and use ewg.org/skindeep as a reference for looking up every chemical in every product I use (makeup, soap, toner, sunscreen, chapstick....everything).For my pre-wedding clear skin, I found that this regimen works well for me:-Twice daily face soap: Nubian Heritage African Black Soap (http://www.amazon.com/Bar-Soap-African-Blk-Pack/dp/B001E0VBDK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1428768351&sr=8-1&keywords=nubian+heritage+african+black+soap)-Toner: usually twice daily. Thayer's unscented (avoid fragrance/parfum, even if it is "natural fragrance"; http://www.amazon.com/Thayers-Alcohol-Free-Witch-Formula-Unscented/dp/B001DJDP7C/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1428768332&sr=8-3&keywords=thayers+witch+hazel)-The Sibu lotion listed in this review-Make-up remover: the above witch hazel plus a drop or two of sweet almond oil, though the almond oil is cheaper at Wegman's - $4.50 for a 4 oz or $9 for the organic sweet almond oil (http://www.amazon.com/Aura-Cacia-Natural-Sweet-Almond/dp/B0015GLABG/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1428768413&sr=8-7&keywords=sweet+almond+oil)-Acne spot treatment: Clean & Clear PersaGel 10. This is about $5 at Walmart and Target and Amazon. I do like the name brand better than the generic store brand because the consistency of the brand name is a bit thicker (less watered down) and seems more effective on my skin. I have tried salicylic acid and tea tree oil but benzoyl peroxide seems to be the only type of spot treatment that works for my skin. Another brand with good acne skin care that are more expensive but have better ingredients is Juice Beauty (sold at Ulta and online) and Yes to Tomatoes (at Target). I use the Clean and Clear because it is cheaper but still has acceptable chemistry of the products and is effective. I have only one complaint and that is the bottle is so small and finishes fast! (1floz)The quality felt and appeared very light weight. No oily residue left behind on my big pores and my dry patches and fine lines have diminished. Seemed my skin was just really dry and this helped to just seal in the moisture.I used it as a day and night cream. In the am, I ice my face and then apply a layer of sibu then a layer of mineral sunscreen balm.During the day if my face feels dried out I may ice/spritz face and then apply layer of sibu and layer of sunscreen balm again. At night time, after showering, put on sibu and sunscreen balm. Before showering I applied a tumeric collagen mask and red light therapy.All of this combined my skin has been glowing. I also cut out dairy for the meantime and replaced with more green juices and silica. Sun spots fading fast and appears healthy even with no sleep.

Been using the Sibu sea buckthorn oil mixed into my Hydraphase lotion. I figured I'd try this as an alternative to the Hydraphase, which is around $30 a bottle! So happy with this. It's a lotion version of the sea buckthorn seed oil, meaning it helps fade my acne scars and keeps my skin soft and redness/irritation-free. I notice a huge difference in the quality of the sebum my skin produces when I use Sibu products--it's soft and doesn't build up and get hard and make a plug like it usually would. I love the scent; sea buckthorn seed oil has a slightly odd "earthy" scent which I don't mind (seriously, the benefits outweight the smell), but this lotion has citrus essential oils (great for clarifying skin/cutting through oil) in it which overpower the earthy scent, so the lotion just smells lightly of oranges. It definitely doesn't feel oily going on, in fact this lotion is on the drier side; if you want a little more moisture I'd suggest adding a couple drops of Sibu sea buckthorn seed oil or whatever other oil works well with your skin. Love love love this product, I've settled in for the long haul with this!

This cream is one of my favorites, it is not oily and not waxy, skin feels moist like from water, if you know what I mean. Smells unusual but you start to like it later on. I went through three bottles and I’m not going to buy it again. Because of the design of the bottle you can’t use it all! After nothing pumps out, I spend a couple of days smashing the bottle against my palm trying to knock out the rest of it, and after everything that could be knocked out is out yet you STILL have some in. And you can’t even fit a pinky in the neck! First time I’ve added water and while I mixed it well, cream was drying out too fast, don’t recommend. This time I just filled it again with some other lotion from a big bottle and brought it to work and school, lol. Reduce, reuse, recycle ☝️🤓 and never buy again. But if you want to try something actually different, do it, cause the product is good. The bottle drives me nuts.

This is a light moisturizer. I purchased as I believe that Seabuckthorn is very healing, and I've incurred an over 60 breakout on my face.I do wish they'd claim how much seabuckthorn is in the product itself. The product appears in the pic to be more orange then it is in real life. It's more white than orange in color.It has a light scent, not floral, more earthy but pleasant to me.Would recommend for an oily skin, or one that is compromised.

I use this moisturizer only at night as is it too heavy for me for day use. It works well, not causing blemishes or bumps. I do need an extra moisturizer around my eyes. I may have received an older or mishandled batch since it doesn’t smell like citrus at all. It smells like old fryer oil. Thankfully the smell seems to dissipate quickly.

I started buying this moisturizer about a year ago from a local natural products co-op. I was getting it at "wholesale" and was so impressed that I vowed to buy it full price if the co-op ever closed. The co-op did finally close and I was thrilled to find this product at the same "wholesale" pricing here on Amazon! If I ever run out of this moisturizer, my skin starts looking aged in no time at all. With this moisturizer, my skin is soft and radiant looking. What I love most about this moisturizer is how quickly it absorbs and how lightweight it is, making it a perfect daytime product. I like to use straight organic argan oil at night but during cold weather, I usually combine the two at night for the extra moisture. My daughter (age 16) raves about the Sibu facial cleanser and daytime moisturizer as well, it majorly helps clear up her acne and doesn't dry out her skin like the products that are specifically designed for acne treatment. A little goes a long way so this bottle normally lasts for a month and I use it on my face, neck, and chest. It's also fully of healthy natural ingredients so you can feel safe using it.

I absolutely love this Sea Buckthorn facial moisturizer! I have very sensitive oily and acne prone skin and I use this every night and my skin has showed such an improvement. During the day I use Aveeno's Ultra Calming daily moisturizer with SPF 15 but at night I wanted something without the SPF. I have been using it for almost a year now and my skin is practically clear. It has a pleasant citrus scent and it is light and non-greasy but still moisturizes. I can get it at the health food store but I prefer to buy it on Amazon because it's much cheaper and it is hard to find. I have tried so many products and most of them make me breakout. Between Aveeno and Sea Buckthorn I will not use anything else. The best part is these are all natural with no harsh chemicals that will not dry out and irritate your skin. I highly recommend this product!

This is the only face cream that does not irritate my super acne prone skin! It has a very low toxicity rating on the EWG site. It is super light, has a pleasant light scent, and absorbs instantly. It is fading many of my hyper pigmentation spots from adult acne too! Highly recommended!

lovely soft cream, absorbs well, skin feels nice, good foundation bass, not greasy, just the right size for make up bag or hand bag.

I am so happy with this cream. I'd used some Lancôme and my face became red, this light cream has helped reduce the redness and feels lovely. My skin is soft and non greasy. Mineral make up is applied easily over this cream. I like the glass bottle. I used to use Aubrey Organics but prefer this brand.

If you have any problems or scars or need to find a good light moisturizer this is it it clears and heals yr skin within days

I have dry skin this winter so I grabbed this because I had heard good things about buckthorn oil. It does seem very moisturizing and as far as I can tell it didn't break me out/clog my pores. I love the packaging. Very nice frosted glass bottle with a sturdy pump. However, the product itself was heavily citrus scented and it took several pumps to cover my entire face and neck. I am not a fan of heavily scented creams and I don't like to have to repurchase expensive products every 2-4 weeks. It didn't really go well under my makeup...kind of greasy and slippery. So I use this at night now sometimes. I will use it up but I will not be repurchasing. I would recommend this to those that are looking for a light moisture cream for night, that do not mind scented products.
