Good but one negative
IF I were to buy this Blu-ray player again, I would purchase it without the bundled software that I paid extra for. The software that came bundled won't play Blu-ray disk on my Windows 11 computer. I had to search out a third-party player software in order to play Blu-ray disk on my computer.

Does NOT play UHD's on PC as promised/Cyberlink product offering is a scam
This device will not play UHD's as promised. As well, good luck getting Cyberlink to send you to a download link for Media suite. Software that comes promised, but both Pioneer and Cyberlink have FAILED to deliver on repeatedly. This is a scam. Please avoid.

nice and portable but no external power cable..
when you see the reviews about not included software i would ignore and not take that into consideration on the overall rating. Those who complain about it and give 1 star are being unrealistic in this day and age where there are plenty of open sourced alternatives to mastering CD/Blu Ray discs.. again their complaints are ignorant.. with that being said. Im confused to why they didnt include a external power supply cable. yes i know i can just pick one up but the included 2 usb cables, just chuck in the external power cable in as well. i havent actually tried backing up or mastering blu rays but in *nix i dont think there will be an issue.

UHD not supported by AMD systems
Love Pioneer products, and this player is no exception. However, I am running a Ryzen 9 processor on an MSI motherboard which does not support UHD 4K Blue Ray disks on the drive. The disk filesystems were visible, however, no player would play those kind of movies. Also, you can download Cyberlink Media Suite, specifically in question is PowerDVD. If you don't have an Intel system with the ability to enable SGX, PowerDVD will not play UHD disks.
