Run & Gun Turkey Gear Belt, Camo

Honestly, for the price I think you can do better. The idea behind this product is great, but in practice it feels clunky. I wanted something that would keep the essentials close at hand while not being bulky. I’m not a fan of the traditional turkey vest, mostly because I don’t carry dozens of calls, it’s hot in Virginia’s spring season, and I wear a leafy suit so I’d either need to wear the vest on top, which would defeat the purpose of the camo, or wear the vest under it which would make accessing anything nearly impossible. A waist belt is the way to go, but this one feels cheap in construction and the way it hangs down on your hip isn’t as functional as I thought it would be from the pictures. The biggest problem in my mind; however, is the seat. The integrated seat cushion is a nice touch, but it’s extremely thin and doesn’t offer a great deal of comfort – especially if you plan to sit for any length of time. This is a product I’d recommend skipping as there are better products out there. Granted those are more expensive, but they offer better value, easier access to your calls, and most importantly a far better seat pad which can make all the difference. For anyone who’s had a hung up gobbler just out of range, they know the importance of being absolutely still. Tough to do when you aren’t comfortable…

Great idea, Very poor quality. Seams started to rip after second hunt. Belt loops not adequate on pouch, and belt rides up over the padding once ouch sinks below it, causing a hot spot on the hip. Wonder if this is a cheap knock off. Beware.
