Hi. I haven't tried to wash the wig; it was only used for about 30 minutes. You could tie it back, but it isn't as full looking in person as it is shown in the photo, so I'm not sure how much coverage there would be once it was pulled back. I'm not sure of the cap size. The person who wore it has an "average" size head. Hope that helps.

This wig fits my big head. The hair is rather wild in front and in my face so l tamed it down with a bandana. Going to an 80's themed event (aging rockstar) good hair coverage all around
