My error. Nowhere in the description or the specs mentioned where these clippers are made. I mistakenly purchased these because another reviewer said they are made in Germany. Maybe at one time, but not anymore. Received Aug 2026 and the packaging clearly identifies them as being Made in China. So... I read the other one star reviews and specifically went looking for any of the trouble spots mentions. I found none with the pair I received. Both cutting edges are "very" sharp. The two cutting edges were perfectly flush and aligned with each other and close in perfect precise unison without the slightest gap. The spring tension bail was installed dead center, parallel to the handle. The weight and finish makes these clippers look like a quality product. The cutting action is smooth and effortless. If any issues or concerns develop I'll be sure to update this review.

These are the nail clippers of my dreams. The nails on my big toes are wide, moderately thick and they have a curvature. These clippers have a very large opening, which negates the nail curvature, and the flat blade opening makes straight cuts across the nail a breeze.

Works well on thickened elderly nails. They do take some practice to use well.

These clippers worked really well on my very thick big toenails. They clipped straight through without much pressure at all very comfortable to hold and they fold flat. The design gives you good leverage for thick nails. I had a good grip, and I did not feel like they were slipping at all.

Oh my god, this kohm nail clipper is crazy sharp. I have been using the brookstone nail clipper for the last 20 years and it is mechanically dull. I decided to break the bank to get this new clipper. I am so used to the dull brookstone clipper I cut it very close to the skin. Oh boy, I almost bled so I backed off a little using this crazy sharp clipper that takes very little effort. i used to put a lot of force to clamp down my old clipper and hoping it will cut right. After I finished cutting my nail, I could feel my wrist was a little off. I am happy to own this new razor sharp clipper. ​I don't care much about the nails not retaining in the groove. My nails just fly off while I cut and my pooch scouts some of it and eats it. He must have a panda stomach. I don't know why he likes to eat my nails. I know it is kind of gross but it does not bother me, maybe most of you. I'm just telling you what it is.

They are amazing! Very sharp, easy to use. Great for those who have super thick nails.exactly as described. Would buy again. Great for gifts.

General flaw is that the jaws have no limit how much they open, its easy to accidentally amputate a toe, really dangerous for diabetics. Sharpened uneven, closes uneven.
