Healthy Scalp Pink Grapefruit Shampoo for Oily Hair & Scalp, 12 fl oz

I've been using this shampoo for about a week, washing my hair every other day. This is my first time trying it, and so far, I'm pleasantly surprised. First of all, the scent is amazing, fresh pink grapefruit that makes your shower feel energizing. It lingers in the hair for a while after washing, which I really enjoy. The texture lathers really well; it's not too thick or too thin, just the right consistency. I don't need much product to cover my long hair (past my shoulders), so the bottle should last a good while. The bottle itself is lightweight and easy to handle in the shower. As for how it cleanses the scalp, I can't yet speak to long-term results, but I can say it definitely helps reduce itching and discomfort. I have a very sensitive scalp, and I haven't experienced any irritation or allergic reaction, which is a big plus for me. Overall, a solid shampoo at a fair price. It feels gentle, smells great, and does the job without stripping or causing issues. Would recommend for anyone looking for a simple, effective everyday cleanser.

I Love this shampoo!! My hair had begun shedding from a majorly stressful event, and of all the supporting products out there, this one fit the bill. It smells uplifting, feels wonderful while washing and after rinsing. So clean! Great value for the quality. My hair looks great and my scalp feels fresh. Using their system, I have lots of new growth coming in. I’m really pleased and am glad this is the route I chose versus unsustainable prices of other products that claim the same results.

I have curly hair that gets very dry and frizzy in the winters. I also get really bad dandruff in the winters. I used the Yuka food rating app on my head and shoulders and was a little off put by the score so I went looking for alternatives. This product is GREAT! It decreased my dandruff after one week of use. I used it a lot more often in the first week, but now I am back to shampooing every three days or so and it still works great! However, I did also buy a scalp brush at the same time, so I am not sure exactly which product is the causal factor of less dandruff. Regardless, it smells and feels great and I don’t have little white flakes in my dark brown hair anymore so I am happy!

There’s really not much difference with this shampoo compared to others that I used. My hair turns oily afterwards about the same time as other shampoos. Will say that the shampoo has a really strong scent and I can still slightly smell it even after drying my hair. The color of the shampoo is clear.

This shampoo did exactly what I needed— it sudsed up nicely and really cleaned my hair and scalp. It has a very pleasant citrus fragrance. It did dry out my hair a bit, but if I'd followed it by a conditioner, I'm sure it would have been fine. At this point, I just wanted something to strip oil and product build up, which it did. I would definitely buy it again, but it's a large bottle, so that will probably be a while from now.

Years and years ago my dermatologist suggested I treat my ongoing scalp condition with "clarifying" shampoo. There was only one such shampoo on the market at that time made by a small independent company, so that was it. But as the years went on, clarifying shampoos became gradually more common and I've steadily tried this brand and that. But after I tried this one, I was sold. It's spectacular: gentle but utterly thorough cleansing. And it's relatively inexpensive and made by a trusted American company!

Conflicted. This shampoo works well on my baby-fine hair, but the grapefruit scent sometimes smells more like an ammonia-based litterbox smell. I've had other grapefruit-scented shampoos that did not have this same undertone, but as much as I wanted to enjoy this product, I kept smelling a very ammonia smell during and after shampooing my hair. (To be clear we do not have cats or pets in our home and this is only an issue while using this product.) As the shampoo and wet hair dries the smell fades, I think. After 4-5 attempts to just make it work, I finally had to order a replacement of a different brand and the problem disappeared when I relegated this bottle to the cabinet under the sink for some future shampoo-drought emergency use. I've used Neutrogena products for decades and never been disappointed before.

I rinsed my hair with regular peroxide in the shower a couple times hoping my hair would lighten a bit from the sun when working in the yard. Well, it left my hair with this weird waxy texture, it looked heavy and gross. My regular shampoo was only making it worse. I used this clarifying shampoo for 3 days and my hair is back to its soft fluffy normal loft. I washed hair with it twice on day 1 and it looked about 50% better, day 2 I did another 2 washes letting it sit for a few minutes each time. Day 3 , 1 wash and my hair looks great, and it actually does look lighter. Thank goodness! Glad I ordered this pink grapefruit clarifying shampoo.

Everything is nice about this shampoo but I found it odd about the grapefruit flavor smell abit odd and possibly not to everyone liking.

I tried it for like two months, and man it's good, I am a young man, my hair has medium length, super greasy, the smallest effort, work, gym, walking or stress would create an oil factory in my head and this one definitely did the job of cleansing it. But it does dry out the hair if you wash daily like I do. So I still had to use a conditioner, one from OGX with apple cider vinegar. They work like a charm
