I have plenty of crochet pattern books and this is going to be my new favorite. The book includes ripple patterns, motifs, and a few project patterns. Each pattern shows two different colorways, written directions, and a graph plus the book includes the Cascade Yarn color list. I highly recommend this book.

Love it! The book has clear text instructions with excellent visuals. I classify this book as a reference. In addition to the 100 ripple designs, the content includes sections about: materials, stitches and techniques, chart symbols, and gauge.Just enough information to activate your creativity without being overwhelming. Kudos to the designer, Leonie Morgan and those involved in creating this book. Well done.

Book arrived promptly. And I was totally amazed that this book looks brand-new even thought sold as "used." Very high quality book. And the owner of the business sent me a lovely note too. Very impressed with the service and product quality. This is a wonderful book. The author has included so many beautiful ripple stitches that I've never seen before. (And I have a lot of crochet ripple books). It's always fun to find new patterns to try out. And the ripple color schemes are outstanding. I've checked this book out of my library so many times, that they finally told me to buy my own!! Just kidding.

This is a well written, beautifully photographed book. It would look nice as a coffee table book. It's good for a beginner but doesn't offer enough for an experienced crafter. It doe's offer many attractive color combinations, but after close to 45 years of crafting I can manage choosing those myself. While it isn't much help to me, it is still a well-written and photographed book at a reasonable price for less experienced crafters. I'd recommend it for beginners and it would make a nice gift for someone. It's fun to look through it just to see the colors! Linnea McGurk

It's like Leonie Morgan opened a crochet stitch book and said, "I wonder if I can use this to make a zigzag blanket?" You want variety? It's got basic single and double crochet chevrons in their multiple forms, but she doesn't stop there. You want challenges? It has front and back loop, post stitches, granny stitches, crossed doubles, shells, vee-stitches. It has ruffles! It has a rose pattern motif! It has popcorns and puffs and hearts and shamrocks! It has 50 stitches, including nine star motifs and five projects with detailed instructions. It has many colorways, including some unexpected combinations that intrigue me. The photographs are clear and large and Leonie avoids dark-hued projects that hide the details. It has charts, which is a deal breaker with me -- no charts, no purchase. I did hunt around to find what size hook and yarn were used for the illustrations -- page 19 "Gauge" -- "... worsted-weight yarn and a size H (5 mm) crochet hook." Crochet terms are in American style. An instruction guide is included in the front for those unfamiliar with post stitch, working through the horizontal bar, bobbles, spike stitches, the magic ring, color changes, and surface crochet. I have completed several blankets and throws with this book as my inspiration. I highly recommend her teaching style.

Great pattern book for all crocheters. I have been crocheting since I was 9 years old and my grandmother taught me how to crochet. I am always looking for more, interesting patterns. This book really fits my needs. I make prayer shawls for my church's shut-ins and I'm always looking for something unique. Highly recommend.

I am really impressed with the variety and originality of ripple patterns in this book. I took a chance on it and was rewarded handsomely. I just received it so haven't made anything yet but the patterns and charts (yes, charts!) are clear and the photos are beautiful with two different colored versions of each pattern represented. IMHO, there is something for everyone on your list in this one! Two faves are Flames/Pyrotechnics and Seafoam/Ocean Deep.

This really is a lovely pattern book with great colorful photos so you know how each project should look. There are both written (my favorite) or chart instructions. Just remember it's the American stitch techniques, only one stitch difference from the traditional English technique but that is enough to make it look so wrong (been there in the past). Love the color way chart and the alternative color way. Totally recommend for the learner and the experience as it is a great reference book add to their collection.

This beautifully illustrated book is a real treasure and moves to the top of my favourite books on crocheting. The colour combinations alone are worth the price of admission! The patterns are unique and the illustrations show how colour combinations, stitches, and patterns all play a part in creating a beautiful end product. I like the rating of the patterns as to beginner, intermediate, and advanced, but some of the more difficult patterns are so alluring that I'll likely give them a try. The photography is amazing and the stitch definition is so clear that it's easy to see if your work matches the sample photo in the book. Even if you're not a fan of ripple stitches, the colour combinations could easily be transferred to others patterns with great results.
