Can anyone set the time???? Buttons are only letting me set alarm

Yes you can set the time. Follow the instructions that came with this time piece.

Is this watch waterproof or water resistant?

i think it is just water resistant

How good is the compass on this?

even though it is a very cheap compass, it matched the direction of our compass at scout camp last week. it will not help on an orienteering course, but good enough for a quick check without dragging out the big compass. wish it had a thermometer.
