What I like about this solar light is that it fits in between a typical arbor gate rafter joist pair on 4x4 posts. It is just under 3-5/8” depth. You’ll need to pry the rafter apart a little to slide the light into the space. The solar panel can sit flat or angle slightly at the top of your arbor gate. For joists larger than 6” height you’ll start to limit the sensor range to start only when you get right to the gate, which is exactly what I wanted. The adjustable angle on the light allows it to “shine” directly down while it conceals entirely in my arbor gate, as it “lights” up the wind chime hung directly below, for a stunning, ghostly, ancient tori effect.Cons- product description states it lasts only 500 “circles”, meaning cycles, or in other words, under two years. I’d rather replace a good lithium rechargeable battery every 5 years. I’ll be sure to include this product in my low volt re-wiring scheme for all my solar fence-posts-with-replaceable-batteries. Unfortunately I’ll have to crack into the case to find some wire to harness. It is a shame when quality solar products, panels with life spans of decades, are rendered trash by poor design. Think about how many solar panels it takes to power the world, but companies are content to make trash piles with them instead. This product is great but it just needs an accessible battery chamber to redeem itself.

Tiltable attached solar panel moveable wing lights and disk til dawn
I was surprised how much light these put off for being relatively small.I have a descent sized back yard and 3 dogs so when I let them out at night can be hard to see them, so I've been slowly adding some solar motion lights around the fence to light up where the dogs are. I had been using the typical white lights where the solar panel has to be mounted separate and the cable then has to be zip tied and ran. While they serve a purpose when you need light where there maybe isn't sun, this unit was a nice change in that the solar panel and light is built right in.It's pretty straight forward. Charge the light for 2 days, use the little key or a paperclip to reach in the small hole to turn on. Lights up dim when no motion and bright when motion is detected. The light panels are pretty adjustable and the solar panel on top tips around 45 degrees for best placement.I didn't realize when I purchased that these stayed dim all the time when it's dark(like a disk to Dawn light) and get brighter with motion, and I can see how that would probably be great for most people, for my purpose I could have done without that, but it last long enough, plenty bright enough and is mounted so, I have no complaints.

Way better than I thought it would be
For the price the solar operated light is extremely good. You can point the lights in different directions..they will stay in a medium mode until motion is detected and then it becomes very bright for 30 seconds..if the dog is moving in the dectection area it stays on 30 seconds after she moves away. My neighbors bought the same lights after seeing how bright they were. For the price you cant beat them!

Simple & Easy
This product is great so far, install is supper easy and light is bright. Once you let it charge under direct sunlight for a full 24 hours the might is brighter. We will see how long it lasts but so far this product is super compact and very bright. The motion is good and the light does night turn off it just dims really low when it’s dark outside. Once motion is detected the light turns fully bright. During the day the light turns off completely while it is charging. I live in Arizona Southwest and it gets up to 115 degrees out here so charging will not be an issue I just hope the batteries do not over charge, but we will see with time. According to the documentation the device has over charging protection and some others features as well. I am definitely buying another one.
