Since the base is coconut oil, does it smell of coconut? I don't care for coconut scent at all, but I love pure Tiare flower scent.

My bottle is "Tipanie". It does not smell like coconut at all. Very floral scent. Lovely

Why does this say plumeria in the listing, but gardenia in the ingredients? They are different flowers.

Monoi oil is an infused perfume-oil made from soaking the petals of Tahitian gardenias (known as Tiare flowers) in coconut oil. Monoi, in Tahitian, means "scented oil". Tipanie is plumeria or frangipani. They add the fragrance of plumeria to the monoi oil. Both the Tiare and Tipanie are very light fragrance. With the plumeria being a little more floral. Hope this helps.

Can this be used for diffuser reeds?

No. It is coconut oil with gardenia blossoms macerated into it and will not for that.

There supposed to be a stick in the oil? I have a stick in mine

Yes. The first time I purchased this I bought it directly from Tahiti. It is a vanilla stick. This is the best oil for my skin!

Thats all I can say, the bottle was smaller than I expected but the contents have sort of separated, and partly cloudy. I wouldnt buy it again but the frangrance is lovely.
