Would this mount be compatible to attach to the Garmin Echomap 44cv Transducer?

Most should fit but it may take some adjustment for different sizes

No it won't, I also have a Lucky fishfinder, I have to use zip ties to attach the transducer to the arm to make it work. Not firm at all

Whats the difference between the deck mount and track mount from the picture it looks like its only the arm do you get thediffernt mouting adapters ?

The arm comes with a deck mount. I bought a track mount separately. The arm disconnects from the mount itself for other mounting options.

I'll be using a portable sonar in a rental boat this summer. will i be ok with the suction cup mounted transducer, or would this be a better option?

This has a track designed to be fixed (screwed) to the boat gunnel, so it might not work on a rental. As for the suction cup, Guess that would depend on the boat, suction surface, speed vs grip of the suction, etc. This does work well, but the thickness of the arm does create a bit of a wake as you move along. I modified the mount a bit using a thin piece of strap steel to secure the transducer that had a lot less drag and noise to extend the arm.
