Desert Essence: Organics Hair Care Shampoo, Lemon 8 oz (2 pack)

I love everything about this shampoo. I will keep buying it. My scalp is awesome and shiny! My hair smells good! I have so many bottles of shampoo from desperately trying to help my scalp and wasted so much money. Give this a try! I highly recommend it. I thank God for working thru this shampoo to heal my scalp! Good job!

I bought this Desert Essence Lemon Tea Tree Shampoo because I tend to have oily hair. The main reason why I tried this product was because it is organic and my family and I are trying to get away from shampoos made with sulfates and other potentially toxic ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised by the light, citrus smell and ample amounts of lather, which I find unusual for natural products. It makes my scalp feel tingly and refreshed! It leaves my hair very soft and silky. I've even been able to go an extra day without the need to wash my hair again. I've have not been able to do that in the past because it looked too greasy with other shampoos. Because of my great results, I'm very happy with this product. Also, other shampoos for oily hair usually left my hair dry and brittle and after a few hours it would look like I didn't even wash it.

I have super fine and oily hair and I could never find a shampoo that wouldn't leave my hair feeling gunky afterwards. But this shampoo is the only one to not leave a dirty feeling!! And it seems like my hair is stronger and softer after using this! A little goes a long way too so two of these last almost two months and my hair is super long. And it smells incredible! My mother-in-law used some when she visited and she's now hooked on it for how healthy it made her hair even just after a weekend! Definitely best shampoo ever!!

This shampoo has been a life saver! I made the mistake of using Head and Shoulders shampoo for way to long and developed an allergy to it that has been nearly impossible to heal from. I developed red bumps and a super itchy scalp from it. I tried everything from several natural shampoos, regular shampoo, olive oil, coconut oil, you name it to heal my head and nothing seemed to help and made things worse. I decided to give this tea tree shampoo a try and it has worked wonders in returning my head back to normal. I'm not quite there yet but this product has made a huge difference. It lasts a really long time because you really don't need as much as with normal shampoo. I have shoulder length hair and use about quarter size amount. It suds up a little bit but not like normal shampoo. The only thing I don't like is the hole where the shampoo comes out is super tiny so it takes a while to get it out. I suffered through it on my first 2 bottles and on the 3rd I expanded the hole so it comes out much easier. My hair is on the greasy side and with this it stays cleaner for longer and I can easily go every other day.

My daughter has a condition that makes her overproduce oils. This is the ONLY shampoo that works for her. It makes her hair soft and shiny yet NOT greasy at all. She can even go a few days without washing it. My hair is on the drier side and I use this every so often when I’ve gone several days without washing. I like how my hair feels afterwards. The only down side is the smell is kind of like lemon Pledge when you put it on. Doesn’t smell after drying though.

My hairdresser recommended this shampoo for my hair, which is generally on the oily side. While the manufacturer has product in a lot of local stores that I shop at, none of the local stores carry the Lemon Tea Tree version of the product, so I've been purchasing that online. The shampoo works really well, and a little bit of it seems to go a long ways. I believe it does work well on my hair. It says it's organic, so hopefully that means it's free of any really nasty artificial compounds. The first time I used it I thought the smell was interesting (I'm a guy who previously bought very generic and uninteresting shampoo) but I became used to it quickly.

I've fallen in love with Desert Essence Lemon Tea Tree shampoo! My hair is literally squeaky clean AND itchy dandruff (a type of fungus) has vanished, too! I personally use this shampoo as a shower gel, a small dime sized blob lathers up really well in a shower puff! My unusual tip of the day - if your fighting any type of fungus from dandruff to jock itch to athlete's foot, or suffer with discolored finger nails or toe nails or skin rashes due to fungal growth then mix a small amount of this shampoo with water in a plastic bowl, add 20 mule team borax (laundry product), lather up really well and use the shower puff to wash really well, soaking those areas at least 5 minutes then rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry naturally (and launder all towels with 20 mule team borax to stop reinfection!) Repeat daily until under control. The tea tree oil shampoo and borax combination are really effective against fungal concerns!
