Wells PRO PAC Adult Superpremium Dog Food

My original review of this product was my dogs loved it. Today I'm changing the review due to concerns from our recent purchase.We have been feeding the pups this propac food for maybe a year now.When my husband and I first opened this new bag of dog food, we both said "oh gosh, what is they smell??" It had a STRONG smell what I keep labeling plastic. I can't put my finger on it. I thought it was just us being weird. I proceeded to feed the dogs, they didn't eat. it's been a few days now, and it seems as if they just hate this food. They eat what they have to and are done, whereas they usually clean the bowl. I've tried it with coconut oil, their vitamin mix, and even cheese and they just will not eat it.I am not sure if the bag we received is expired or what, but it concerns me. I'd love it if the seller would email me.

My Yorkie has eaten ProPac all of his almost ten years. He was born in Missouri and it was his breeder's food of choice. When I flew him to Florida and all of the food his breeder enclosed for his flight was depleted, I tried just about everything but he wouldn't eat it. I ended up having to call the breeder and he told me ProPac. I could only find it in feed stores but it was worth the travel because he loves it. I was happy to discover it on Amazon because it saves me travel and the carrier brings the 16 lb. bag to my door.

We've fed our dogs several types of food from this to Bil Jac to Merrick Farms. Switching to this from a significantly more expensive alternative, our dogs seem just as happy and healthy. They're black and we get WOWs all the time because their coats are so glossy and beautiful. My only issue is the feeding recommendations seem very hefty. We have had both of our dogs, who are lightly-moderately active and weigh approx 60 lbs +, on 2 1/2 cups a day for nearly 2 years and they both maintain a healthy weight. I think they would be FAAAAAAAAAAAAT if we fed them the recommended 3 2/3 - 4 1/2 cups. Further supporting this, I took home a foster dog who is 18 lbs and is at a healthy weight for her. I tried to feed her the recommended 1 1/2 cups a day and she just can't do it... and really if a dog stops before finishing you know it's too much. I guess it depends on the dog... overall very good food and EXCELLENT value for those who don't want to feed their dog crap but can't afford to spend $70 a bag!

This is the only dry food we will give to our Westie. As we recently moved to another state and cannot find this food locally, I was very happy to find it on Amazon. Unfortunately, Amazon has(apparently)stopped carrying this item, and although it is available from a few other vendors on Amazon's storefront, the price is much higher - the shipping alone is more that the 6-lb. bag of food was! Looks like we will be driving the 40 miles (into another state, actualy!) where there is a store that carries this. I've looked at Well's website to look for other vendors, but anyone they list doesn't seem to carry it.

I often struggle to find time to get over to buy a high-quality pet food at my local 'big box' pet store... no problem with Amazon Prime! 33#'s of great ProPac food delivered to my doorstep within 48-hours. My full-blood mutt LOVES this stuff and I'm happy with it based upon the 'end' product and digestive ability. Her coat shines and she's a happy pooch.Two thumbs up for high quality feed and for Prime!

As of a couple bags ago, this dog food looks different, smells different, and according to my pets, tastes different. The bag looks the same but something is off. It's not the sellers either, have ordered from two different sellers, still off.. AND the date on the bags isn't old either. I don't know what's going on, but I'm not buying it anymore.

Our vet recommended this food for our Dalmatian. We used to get the cheaper junk at Walmart, but we believe she had some kind of minor allergy to them.She scarfs this stuff down like it's no body's business, and she's healthier than she's ever been!

I feed this to my Pekingese and he eats it all every time. I love to find higher quality food for our pets that is also affordable.
