Légère Reeds, Alto Saxophone, Signature, Premium Synthetic Reed (ASG225)

These reeds are the it! I've used them for my tenor saxophone and now with the alto. I'm very satisfied with my performance.

Best reed I’ve ever tried on the alto, it pairs well with my Meyer mouthpiece at the strength of 2.25. Very full tone, dark but centered sound, fast response and control, and all the notes especially the low notes speak well!.

Used it almost every day, a few hours each day, since purchased, so about 2 months, and I just noticed a crack straight down the middle. It still plays, but it probably explains the airy sound I've had for a few weeks. I'll probably get another, maybe 2.5 instead of 2.25 (signature).

Soft sound. Feel like 2.0 reed.

Yes it’s one singular reed! But it sounds and plays amazing! I was skeptical at first but I had a friend who was a senior play with this and she loved it!. So I had to buy one my self.

I bought this (and a 2 1/2 strength) to try for outdoor playing for the summer. I've always had a problem with cane reeds being inconsistent, especially outside in hot weather. I've been using the 2 1/2 for big band stuff and the 2 1/4 for more delicate playing. People said they like the sound and I find them very easy to play. I'm not sure I'll ever go back to cane.

Bought for my husband who is a woodwind player. Very old school but loves these so much he gives them to his colleagues.

These Legere synthetic reeds are fantastic. Consistent sound and playability. Signature series seem to work the best for me. No more wooden reeds!

These are expensive but well worth the cost. They perform as well as a quality cane reed and do not need any seasoning before use. Very durable and last for months of daily use. A slightly brighter sound than expected but they also do an American Cut which I understand gives a more mellow sound. They also do a cheaper Classic which I have also used but the Signature range is definitely superior. From my experience these synthetic reeds play harder than conventional reeds so I have gone down from a 2.5 to a 2 strength reed. In short go for a slightly lower strength than you normally play. Don't worry about getting it wrong though as the company have an excellent exchange policy where you can change your reed. I will continue to use this product in the future.

Very nice reed. Great tone.
