The dovetail saw has 18-19 small teeth in every inch. I found it as usable for dovetail works. Good luck.

Can this be used to help make lap joints in 2x4's & 4x4's combined with a chisel?

Yes, for the 2x4s but no for the 4x4s, not enough depth of cut because of the back strap

About 1 mm thick. Backing is the same metal as the blade.
