SkinMedica Scar Recovery Gel - Expert Facial Scar Gel, Minimize the Appearance of Scars on Face and Body, 2 Oz_Old

I ordered this as a replacement for the exact product that was provided to me by my surgeon’s office to use after Tummy Tuck. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The gel is the exactly the same as I was expecting. If this wasn’t the best scar gel available, he would inssist to start use 1 week post-op. I was told to use twice a day for 12 weeks. My scar looks great and I am only 4 weeks in. I will order another tube when needed.

I've tried other less expensive scar creams which did not work at all. While SkinMedica can be a little pricey, it worked extremely well for me. Watch for price changes and if you anticipate surgery well enough in advance, jump at the lower price and buy.

I have only used one tube of this so far. I am 9 weeks out from a tummy tuck and I have not yet seen a lot of difference. However, my scar is still forming and changing so I have hope. This is quite expensive so I will try another tube but may not continue if I dont see more results. So I guess it is not bad but I haven't yet seen a miracle.

It's supposed to be brown! My surgeon provided the first bottle of this. I was happy to snag another bottle when the price dropped. Other reviews commented with concern over the color being a bit brown. Dont freak out, it's supposed to be brown

This gel will completely erase scars but it might take a year for complete healing. Use with silicone tape you can pick up OTC for faster results. My third degree burns took 2 years to heal, then the gel erased all trace. Use the thinnest dab on your finger tip. Using more does not speed healing. Eat strawberries for skin repair and get as much sleep as you can.

Expensive, but totally worth it for silicone scar cream.

I had a surgery at the beginning of March 2021. It left me with two giant scars on my chest. I've been using this daily (well, I've missed a few days here and there) and noticed my scars are fading quite significantly. It is not an overnight fix though. You really have to be consistent and massage the gel into the scars. Take 5 minutes each side. In just under a year, my scars appear less red. I'm excited to see what another year will do. It is pricey and not every body type heals the same, but I've found it works very well for me.

Not worth it!! I saw good reviews so I bought it but after using it , I saw no results . No difference at all!!! Even a little bit . It’s just a waste of money I wish I never bought it .
