My vessel/pot weighs 4.8 pounds with no oil. Will this stand hold up?

Great Question! The capacity of the weight that this stand can hold depends on the distance it is hung from the veritical rod. If the weight is less it can be moved further away on the horizontal bar without the stand tipping over. But as the hanging weight is increased it has to be hung close to the vertical bar. Caution is always to be taken that the pot be hung with support and carefully released after making sure that the weight can be supported by the horizontal bar. Hope this helps.

What is the max weight of filled shiro pot that this stand will support?

Though we have not scientifically tested for maximum weight carrying capacity of the stand we have used a large shirodhara pot filled with oil without any issue. Remember the weight carrying capacity changes with the height of the arm from the ground and far you hang the pot on the arm. Hope this helps.

What a nice and sturdy construction. I liked abc matching sticker, please consider changing the labels that make easy to assemble but a nightmare to remove.

Review from an Ayurvedic practitioner

As an Ayurveda practitioner it’s on the more affordable side but it’s too burly and too big for the job it does. Also, the stickers that I can’t get off of it are ugly. It’s overpriced guys but since Ayurveda is such a specific therapy everything is price gouging in the States for it. Unfortunately it’s the reality. The one area on this stand that is the most important (the secure bolt holding the arm in place) seems like it will wear out. Bummed but at least I have a shirodhara stand that wasn’t 1,500.00

Expensive but Sturdy and High Quality

Bought this stand along with copper pot for my Ayurvedic practice to offer Shirodhara. Stand was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. Have used twice now on clients and am happy with it
