For conventional clincher tires, Velox rim tape is the industry standard. Easy to apply, adaptable to a range of rim diameters, custom tape widths for different rim widths, thick enough to be reliably protect the tube from the spokes, no sharp edges to cut into tubes. Experienced cyclists have know to relay on this brand for decades.

A tight fit at 10 mm but I was able to cram it into place. Looks like it will provide better protection than the very thin rubber band that came with my original wheel. The adhesive wasn't very sticky and required repeated pressing to get in place but it did work in the end. Worth the effort.

I needed a narrow tape for an older bike I was working on, a Schwinn LeTour, and this tape did the trick. It does stick well, though only to itself and not the rim, so it does take a little care to get it wrapped around. And the valve hole is already cut, so that is a good thing. Will use this product again.

I really wanted to like this because Velox is what I always used to use back in the day. But both times the tape had very little adhesion and would not stay put while I tried to mount the tire.

A few years ago, I used velox tape in 22mm size on another rim, and it stuck to the rim fine. Every velox tape I've ordered in 2023 has had dried out adhesive that couldn't even keep the tape rolled together. I've returned 3 orders of Velox rim tape at this point. I'd stay away from this brand until they figure out their QC.

Simple, well made and does exactly what it is ment to do…one of the things I just want to work and never think about, this does just that.

I was refurbishing an older road bike and this worked well. Agreed with some reviewers that the adhesive isn’t overly strong but it held well enough to get the tire assembled and the tube should keep it well stuck in place. Unfortunately the hole intended for the valve stem wasn’t big enough for the Schrader valve I was using, so I just it a little short of the stem.

The fabric is an improvement on the plastic alternative, but the glue on the back does not hold, making a simple job unnecessarily complicated.

The adhesion on the rim tape is almost nonexistent. That’s a little disappointing, but you can work with it.
