Corsair Vengeance Series SODIMM 16GB (2x8) DDR4 2666 C18 1.2V

I have a Lenovo Y700-15ISK, it worked for 4 years now and has has been my computer for gaming, work, study and passing time. There was one big problem I had with it, that being a LOT of memory management blue screens. I tried some simple fixes such as updating the drivers and reseating the memory. But it became clear to me it is a hardware issue and the only fix is get replacement hardware.I was nervous about installing 2666Mhz RAM into a laptop that is designed for 2133Mhz, but my fears were eased after reading this pair is compatible with 6th gen intel processors and when a system detects speeds faster than it's designed for it'll simply downclock it. After fitting the Corsair Vengeance memory in, my system booted up successfully and a quick memory test showed no issues. Startup time with the new memory is also noticeably faster. My first impressions is excellent, but whether it will give my laptop an extended life and no more blue screens is unknown. I would recommend this memory, thumbs up.

the ram itself is great, my computer is running so much better with the added memory. however when installing, there is no way to differentiate which way to have the card. there is identical stickers on either side, there was no instructions to whether these should be taken off, I couldnt tell which side was which.luckily I got it first try, thanks to the help guide from apple

Recently bought a New laptop with an i-3 1125G4 but only 4Gb of ram and 128GB ssd for a fair price, considering the 8Gb of ram model came with 500Gb ssd and cost 250 CND $ with the money i saved i purchased this 16GB kit and still have money for 1Tb ssd. The included 4Gb of ram was Samsung and was 3200MHz but windows 11 ( out of "S" mode ) uses 4Gb. the laptop automatically detected the speed and set it to 2666MHz no bios work at all! I was worried that I didn't buy a 33200Mhz kit but I still have enough for an upgraded ssd and I can multitask and lightly game now on my laptop. I'm glad that I went with corsair !
