This is a very lightweight pan, and I did not think we would like it much, but need it for when the large family gathered. It turns out that it cooks evenly, with a large flat bottom, then an almost straight side, it is being used a few times a month for many meals. It cleans great. My husband really appreciates this pan in our collection

I love this pan for the ease of cleaning and proportions that it holds. I bought this pan three times. Twice for my primary home Once the for my vacation home. The first time there was no lid to fit. The second time I was able to buy combo with the lid. But the third time I had to buy the lid separately at a high cost. I wasn’t happy about that but I am still happy about the pan.

I was really happy to get this pan for the size and good reviews. I have a glass cook top stove and when I opened the box and sat the pan on a burner it was flat. I turned on the burner, started frying some hamburger for spaghetti on medium heat. Before the meat finished cooking the pan was warped in the center and rocking on the burner. I can feel the bulge when I run my hand across the back of the pan now. Disappointing as well is that everything I cook in it now sticks to the middle of the pan where it warped. I have to soak the pan for a while to be able to get the center clean. It is also discolored and brown in the middle where it warped and washing it does not remove the brown color. I still like the large size, but it's not fun to cook with. The lid does fit well, but the glass lid handle is metal and gets hot to touch, so you need to use a pot holder to lift the lid while you cook with it on. Would not buy this again. Maybe its just the fact that it can't be used on glass cook tops, or maybe it's just poor quality.

I can't say enough good things about this pan! Not only is the 14" diameter a blessing when cooking for a family, but the safe non-stick surface is a huge bonus! I am always wary of non-stick pans, and a "Green" one I had scratched easily with plastic utensils, and wasn't very non-stick! This one is definitely non-stick, with minimal to no fat added and the surface is nice and flat. The lid is vented which is very nice, and I LOVE how lightweight it is despite its great performance! I love my antique cast iron pans, but they can be heavy and high maintenance at times. This pan is easy to clean (follow the directions, and also do NOT use non-stick cooking sprays/oils; they will ruin a non-stick pan!) and attractive enough to stay on my stovetop 24/7. So many choices, I made the right one. Love this pan!

The center of this skillet has actually warped up and no longer touches the heating element. I have never used this at more than a med-high heat and only ever used it on the large electric burner, but still the center has raised and now only resets on the very outside of the heating element. I have actually had to push the center back down twice now.

The 14" Armor Max Pan by Granitestone is a hefty pan. Has been working great for me. I'd highly recommend. But it does not come with a lid. So being very happy with that pan and needing a lid for some cooking, I thought I'd try the "Granitestone 14 Inch Frying Pan with Lid, Large Non Stick Skillet". As many of the reviews identify, the pan warps with very little heat. It is a much lighter/thinner pan. I use gas and set my burner to number 2 of 10. Very low heat. Within 30 seconds the pan warped and would not sit flush on the stove. The center puckled. Weird that it does seem to flatten back out when you remove the heat. It is usable but know that your fried eggs will all center in the pan. I'll keep it mainly because the lid fits the better Granitestone pan I previously purchased.

After order and receiving damaged (pan surface gouged) product, I decided to try something less expensive. You know what? No, it's not the greatest pan in the world, but, hell, it works. The lighter material is +/-. I prefer a weightier pan for flipping. The heat distribution is not great. Which equates to more frequent stirring. But also allows you to push of almost done portions to the side and finish less done portions or additions in the center. I m okay with this. Only time will tell on the quality of the coating. For me, T-Fal Red Dot pans have the best longevitiy (~10years). Calphalons, yeah, not great, ~2-5years. So even if I have to double buy this brand, still cheaper than Calphalon.

It arrived warped. The heat isn't distributed evenly due to the warping of pan. However I do love how easy it is to clean and how nothing sticks to it. All of my other granitestone pots and pans are amazing. The 14" pan with lid is the only lemon in the bunch.

First time I used this product the base of it warped so badly on my glass top stove only a very small portion of it with touching the stove top. It is all but useless now because you can't cook anything evenly. It is a very large pen and should have a sturdy bottom with a botton that is very flimsy....don't buy this .....don't buy this .... don't buy this !!!!!!

Damaged on one side does not sit flat rocks on stove!!!

I bought this because it was inexpensive, it seemed very nontoxic in the surface coating, and I wanted a larger pan than the 10 inch pans I have been using for years. Unfortunately, this 14 inch pan is so much larger than my stove top heating element, that my stove heating element only gets the middle of the pan hot. The perimeter area of the cooking surface doesn’t heat much. The pan is easy to clean and I’m pleased with the easy cleaning. Using the lid to cover the pan is tricky, because once I wasn’t watching while some ground beef was cooking, and there was enough water cooked out of the beef that the greasy water boiled over the side and dripped down onto the stove, making a mess. I am now looking for a 12 inch pan. Not sure if this brand has a 12 inch size pan with lid. I do want a lid if I buy another pan. The lid keeps the steam from the cooking near the food, which helps cook the food more evenly.

It is easy to clean but useless since it warped the first time I used it. Try frying eggs separately in a shallow Wok. Also, lid did not fit snugly after first use due to warping. Would not recommend. I'm going to try a large electric skillet instead.
