Yes,so far it works well,reinforced stitching in the armpit,strong metal zippers,well made,seems it can lasts years.It has a plenty of pockets and fits really well on me,I really like this jacket,the lining is fleece,very warm in cold weather. I would buy it again!

Is it suitable for skiing? does it waterproof?

Hi I'm so sorry but I've never been skiing so I don't know about that. But, I gave it to my niece and she said it kept her warm and toasty last winter in frigid temps in Michigan. Hope that helps ☺
