So in case one didn't know this , if u put it in yo ur hair while wet it works like a hair gel and if/ when u brush it out later you hair is incredibly soft and healthy looking . I have tried some store bought aloe gel with junk in it before and the gel left white flakes in my hair a scalp when brushed out or messed with . Gross This leaves zero flakes . I like it as an option instead of hair gel because it's actually good for you hair and scalp . Most of the time I also add a few drops of food grade vitamin e oil into the aloe after I have scooped some into my hand and I mix it up really good with my finger and then spread all over my face and hair . I have naturally white hair that has an irregular curl pattern and tends to frizz in the humid East coast summers. After spending what probably would have amounted to the average person's retirement savings on styling and de-frizzing products over the decades, I found a DevaCurl trained stylist to dry cut my hair with the hope of giving it some style, shape and control. The haircut was fine, not life changing, and there was (of course) a very heavy push to buy ALL the products to 'maintain' my curls. Utter nonsense, as nothing maintains frizzy silver hair! I stopped using everything but the conditioner because the products are glycerin based, made my hair dull, frizzier and caused my scalp and neck to itch. Back to square one... Years ago, I remember reading a post on a curly hair forum stating aloe vera is a good gel for curly hair. I figured at this point I've tried just about everything else, so why not? Today I showered, used conditioner on my hair, rinsed it out and applied a palmful of half aloe vera gel mixed with $1.99 L.A. Looks Sport Hair Gel to my soaking wet hair while still in the shower. I raked the mixture from roots to end, then scrunched it repeatedly to get a good curl formation, squeezed out the excess water with a microfiber towel and half dried it with a diffuser, touching the damp curls as little as possible. Today was in the 80s, high humidity with rain predicted. Typical huge frizz head weather. I let my hair air dry for a few hours, then bent over and gently scrunched my hair from the roots to the ends and used a pick to give the roots a bit of lift. Wow! I had beautiful soft SHINY curls and ringlets! I used the lightest mist of hair spray and left the house. 5 hours later, after being out in a stiff, humid breeze, my hair is nearly as pretty and in place as when I finished that last whoosh of spray. It's touchable, the curls are still smooth and my scalp and neck have no itched once. BYE BYE DEVACURL!

I bought this aloe vera gel back in 2023 that was super good. It felt clean and was very effective in keeping skin in good condition, smooth and renewed. But when I bought it again in 2025, it smelled like containing molds. Because it doesn't have preservatives which is good. But it tends to spoil, although when I used my last jar, I didn't put in the refrigerator and it didn't go bad. Now thinking about putting molds on face, it is a kind of dangerous as molds can cause cancers. So, if it doesn't smell molds, it's a great product. I tried to buy it directly from Allurials, it still smelled molds. So that batch of product is not safe to buy. Hopefully, Allurials will throw away the old products to produce new batch of fresh aloe vera gel.
