This is a tool, a very well-made tool. It performs exactly as I expected. It is rather heavy. Keep in mind that it is made for lifting sand wet or dry, For females and youngsters, I definitely recommend the more expensive model that has the upright handle at mid-point for better control.

Solid built heavy duty

I wanted a more modest size beach scoop since we do not have fine/powdery sand where I'm at. It's easier to lift out our heavy sand as well as it's stronger and less likely to bend. No regrets.
