What is the difference between 0384-0948 and 0384-0944?

The -0948 includes a light-duty torch handle (103-01FP) and light-duty cutting attachment (CA1260). The -0944 includes a medium-duty, larger torch handle (100FC) with flashback arrestors and medium-duty cutting attachment (CA1350).

One is an oxygen tank but what is the other gas? (I’m a student still learning)

This torch system uses oxygen and acetylene. The tanks come with the kit, but are empty. They will need to be filled by your local welding supply house.

Are the tanks made in the usa

I’m not sure if it’s made in the USA. But in my case, they just swapped my new empty tanks with the filled ones. So they’re gone...

What is the difference between the 0384-0948 and 0384-0946 kits?

The -0948 includes a cutting attachment and cutting tip. The -0946 does NOT include the cutting attachment and cutting tip.

Nice tool

It’s sweet once you get the tanks filled I didn’t really have a problem replacing them but did cost a little It’s sweet having a portable thing I just wanna burn things now!

Great Oxy torch that is fully loaded and ready to go!

I love this Oxyacetylene torch set! Great for brazing in HVAC and includes everything you need to get started. Get your tanks filled and you are ready to rock. It is pretty heavy duty and decent weight and well made. The value is fantastic compared to what the distributors sell it for. I recommend this kit for everyone from beginner to advanced installer or technician. It fits perfect in the van and full functional and ready to rock.

This torch kit is ideal for my trade(HVAC/R) They're a little smaller than my last kit, which lasted 28 years. Hopefully these last just as long. Overall, I would say this kit is well worth the price and I do recommend.
