Fairly light weight. I was upset when I first saw how small it was. But then, OMG I opened it and omg... that's real sandalwood....the beauty of the aroma stole my senses immediately. The fragrance is true, long lasting, lites easily, burns slowly and fills the room. I use white ash in a incense cauldron and then cover slightly. This is a beautiful quality of sandalwood even the ash afterburn holds the scent of sandalwood. I will buy again from this supplier. Its smaller than shown in photo so don't expect a big bulky, plump bag. But I have absolutely zero regrets on this purchase. Beautiful fragrance.

I thought it was actual pure sandalwood powder, but it's a blend of several ingredients that compose a very pleasant scent. The quantity is not overwhelming. It's good to burn as is, not for creating your own incense blends (which is what I aimed for), because the powder is not so super fine, and has a lot of visible fibers of wood.

Powdered sandalwood.
Good for soap making or heated censer use, when a solid censer surface is used. A screen type burner surface allows it to burn without full scent release, and creates a burnt wood smell.
