Does the hot water bottle smell like rubber?

If you put your nose directly on it, you might, but I don't smell anything bad on my hands or skin after handling... It's surprisingly better than the typical opaque burnt red colored ones I've used in the past.

how hot can the water be that you put in? how long does it stay hot (or at least warm)? thank you!

My daughter received this hot water bottle from us. She says she has put the hottest water from the tap and then hot water from the tea kettle into it. Hot water from the kettle is too hot to put in by itself. She reports that approximately 45 minutes later, it is at least warm. Enjoy!

Can this be put in the freezer? i would like to use with a diy cold pack solution and keep in the freezer.

I don't think you can keep that in freezer. It is usually used to hold hot water for massage.

I honestly don't know but I would recommend against it. I would heat the water in the microwave and pour it into the hot water bottle. However, you do NOT want to put boiling water in this item- not good for it and not good for your skin. . Hope this helps.

What I enjoy about this is that it holds the heat very well. Even after a few hours it’s still warm. The plush covering is nice and helps to prevent you being burnt when boiling water is just poured into the bag and can be removed when it begins to cool down if you are not able to get the water reheated. Best of all it does help to ease the pain.
