Nice and good writing pad
Overall a nice Device. For the price range around 500rs it's a must go for. Some pros and cons are as follows: Pros 1) Light weight and compact. 2) Brightness and clarity is quite good. (Brightness depends on how hard you press during writting, by hard I don't mean harshly, what mean is that, this device is somewhat pressure sensitive like old resistive touch but quality of screen is smooth like capacitive touch) Cons: 1) Stylus is very thin, it's sometimes hard to write with it. It flat and narrow like the spoon. 2) Built quality is not that great but according to price it is ok. 3) In my device there was fingerprints as if someone has opened it before. But else everything was fine. .

Pretty much a toy. Can be useful for Children to improve handwriting and drawing skills.
This digital notepad is a very simple device that lets you do only two things: 1. Scribble, draw...etc with the attached pen 2. Erase what you wrote/draw It does nothing else (and don't even think about asking it to save the writings/drawings on a memory card. It has no "ports" on it to insert anything, not even a charge port). For this price, it is not fair expect it to do more than this. My son uses it to simply scribble whatever comes to his mind. He draws pictures, writes alphabets...etc. This way it provides the free hand that is needed for children. I bought the 8 Inch version. The 10 or 12 inch version might be even better for children. However... 1. The erase button erases the ENTIRE screen. We cannot erase a part of the screen. 2. The brightness of the written/drawn material is not enough to be comfortable to eyes. I would have liked a brighter screen. But given the cost of this device and considering the capacity of the battery it comes with (yes, it comes with a battery, which I guess can be replaced), the brightness can be lived with. All in all, it is a nice little "thing" for small learning children to scribble, draw...etc. It is more of a toy. If used properly, it might help children to practice good handwriting. But still, I would like the screen to be little more brighter for it to be totally useful. Children might initially get excited about it and use it for a few days. Then due to lack of adequate brightness, they might not find it much attractive anymore and abandon it. This is what my son did!! If you are getting this at a very low price during any Amazon sale (such as Great Indian Sale), then by all means go for it and give it to small children to "play". NOTE: Only 1 pen comes in the box. I noticed that we can write on this pad with finger nail :-) Hope this helps. If this review helped you make your purchase decision, press the HELPFUL button!! Thank you.

Decent pad, does its job as expected
Note: The attached image has been brightened to illustrate pressure sensitivity. The screen is not as bright as the image shows. This is an easy to start and use LCD pad. It’s light and you wouldn’t notice the weight if you just put it a bag in the go. Some uses for this Ruff pad: 1. Children and adults can doodle or practice their writing or drawing/ sketch strokes 2. Build a grocery list (stick it to your fridge, has magnets) 3. Keep on your work table, to take quick notes and memos or build a to-do list 4. Illustrate or show something by drawing on this board and such instances. What’s good: Light weight, affordable (not on MRP, paid a discounted amount). smooth writing, pressure sensitive to some extent (at least 3-4 levels of perceptible thickness can be seen in the pic) What could be better: Brightness is moderate (as described, this thing works on reflected light) and best used indoors. Other desirable features are seen in higher models. This is a basic one and works on a button type cell. Overall fit for purpose device and useful to have one or two around the house.

Its decent
I bought this just to try one of these ruffpads that i was seeing online, and I must say, its pretty good. The stylus is pretty smooth on the pad, as it should be, hence the writing experience is pretty decent. The brightness completly depends on how much pressure you apply while writing. The only problem that i have faced, which made me give this 4 instead of 5 stars, is that just after a week of usage, the erase button has become a bit too non-responsive. I have to press the erase button a lot of times to get a clean slate and thats only after using this pad a bit every day for the last week. A bit disapointing, but yeah it does what it is supposed to.
