This WILL make your workout harder, but in a different way. To elaborate, one can use a tad bit of common sense and know that wearing a mask will hamper the usual intensity greatly. Consider that an individual might usually be able to do 50 burpees but the mask might only permit 15. Such will mandate a sacrifice in aerobic stress in favor of Oxygen starvation. It’s not unlike trying to make strength training workouts harder by adding rubber bands instead of simply adding more weights. Also, one should really be careful about how hard they push themselves with the mask on as it can take some getting used to. I don’t think it’s totally useless, but if one hopes to push themselves to their normal limits (obviously taking the mask into consideration), they will have to take their time and measure their performance with the mask via incredibly easy workouts first.

I live in South Florida and use it to work out outdoors and indoors so from the start I knew what I was getting into. What can I say? I'm not disappointed one bit. I received it on time, expected it as described and from the start the customer service was on point- read the instructions/user guide and everything included and you'll see what I'm talking about. I went for the camouflage version not only because of my military background but because it simply looks bad ass. I have long hair and a beard and put my hair up in a bun when working out and the comfort of the mask is good- not blaming the product for my choice in hairstyle and can only imagine a more snug fit with shorter hair and a clean shaven face. Keep in mind that this mask has 16 breathing levels to work with- I'm still in the Rookie levels and can't wait to reach the higher ones. Do your research (as I did) and you'll see that the Sparthos Workout Mask will definitely up your cardio game.
