Mrs Picklepot Pickled Onions with Balsamic 440g

Punchy, tangy, will burn your lips clean off! I put about seven of these in some minestrone soup and they were absolutely delightful little spice bombs! Honestly wasn't expecting them to be so moorish considering how many scovil units they're packing!

Supposed to be in white balsamic vinegar so i expected them to be at least to have some sweetness to them but these are terrible they have got a really sharp taste to them I have thrown them in the rubbish bin don’t waste ur money.

A recipe I wanted to make demanded balsamic onions so I bought these, despite the hefty price tag. They are quite nice, milder than regular pickled onions, but they aren’t exactly crammed in to the jar, so you don’t get very many. I don’t think they are worth the cost, but that was a lesson to learn.

Review of "Onions with Extra Chilli". These are actually rather pleasant. Not fiery hot, probably not as hot as I'd ideally like, but given the limited choice in the regular supermarkets at the moment, better than the other options.

I mean they're pickled onions... crunchy, tangy and simply lovely

I'm a massive fan of pickles onions and spicy food so thought I'd give these a go. They taste lovely and still had a good crunch to them. Honestly thought they were going to be a bit spicier though. It's great if you love spice but if you're a proper spice head you probably won't find these that spicy. Still worth a go though.

They taste OK but are not sweet at all. There is no way they are pickled in just balsamic vinegar. Appears to be normal vinegar with a splash of balsamic to give them colour. Nice small onions though. Really, really expensive for average pickled onions.

I'm used to products with no added sugar which is why I bought these. Trouble is the vinegar which overpowers everything and just tastes like 'battery acid.' Really unpleasant.
