National Trust The Escape to the Country Handbook

I can't think of a more enjoyable show on American TV. But you need to hunt for this BBC offering. The book is also a pleasure. If you are interested in the UK, or Houses or Gardens you will agree. Jules is a superb host and presenter. He doesn't disappoint as a writer.

A great book by Jules. It will pique your interest to start you on the right path of escaping to the country, but not too much info to overwhelm you. The key is getting you started on a new adventure. Very nicely done.

Bought it to help plan for a prospective house move. Gives a FEW tips, but only buy it if you want a nice coffee table book of houses only the very rich would live in. Returned it.

I love this book. Lots of lovely photos of Houses, people, landscapes etc. I do like Jules Hudson as a presenter on the TV program and I hope there are more books to come from him. Presenting the series gives him the perfect opportunity to get all the photos he needs for many books.It is a great book to give as a present.
